ELIGIBILITY

Open to VSGA members who will be 50 years of age by June 13, 2022. Participants must hold an active GHIN number issued by a licensed VSGA Member Club in good standing and meet the USGA Rules of Amateur Status. ENTRY FEE/DEADLINE

All participants are required to pay an entry fee of $195 which includes all course fees (including cart) and lunch for all rounds of competition.  In addition, the VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice round fee with the host club.  A completed entry form, accompanied by the entry fee, must be received in the VSGA Office by Monday, June 6, 2022.

FORMAT

Championship Proper

36-hole stroke play competition (18 holes per day). Age groups will be 50-54, 55-59 and 60-and-over.  All players will compete from the same set of tees.

FIELD SIZE/TOURNAMENT MAKE-UP

The field will be limited to 88 players. Priority acceptance is given to all former champions, top ten finishers from the previous year, age group winners from the previous year, former Amateur, State Open, Mid-Amateur, Senior Open, Senior Amateur, and Super-Senior Amateur Champions. The remainder of the field will be selected by lowest Handicap Index as of Monday, June 6, 2022.

PRIZES

Prizes will be awarded to the Overall Champion (trophy and gift certificate). In addition, prizes will be given to top finishers based on the amount of entries.
