FORMAT/QUALIFYING PLACES

The field of 132 contestants will compete over 18 holes for 5 qualifying places and two (2) alternate positions in the 2022 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship to be played September 10-15, at Erin Hills, in Erin, Wisconson.

PRACTICE ROUND

Practice rounds will be available based on course availability on the dates and times listed below. Please call Reynolds Lake Oconee – The National to reserve your practice round starting time. Only one practice round per player will be allowed, and practice rounds will be limited to contestants only.  Practice round golf and range fee is $50 plus tax. Only credit cards will be accepted in the golf shop.

YARDAGES & TEES

The ONE yardages from the club scorecard will primarily be utilized for the qualifying round. Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition.

The routing is Ridge -> Bluff

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE

The golf shop and driving range will open at 7:00 a.m. each day of competition.

STARTING TIMES

Starting times for tournament play will be assigned by the USGA/GSGA and posted at the club the day before the competition starts. You may visit www.gsga.org for complete pairing information and starting times beginning on August 6. 

CADDIES

Players may provide their own caddie. 

CARTS

During the qualifying round, a caddie may transport a player’s bag on a cart for a fee of $30.  Only credit cards will be accepted in the pro shop. Spectator carts are strictly prohibited in all instances.

PRIZES

A silver medal will be presented to the low scorer at the conclusion of the qualifying rounds.

REGISTRATION

No formal registration will be held on site. Players should arrive to their assigned starting tee ten minutes before their starting time to allow for the starter to go over instructions and rules of play. Player withdraws must be called in to the GSGA office at (678) 324-5975.

FOOD SERVICE

Food and beverage items will be available for purchase at the turn bar and inside at the grill on Monday, August 22nd.
