ELIGIBILITY

Open to VSGA members and professionals of all ages. Amateur participants must hold an active GHIN number issued by the VSGA Member Club they are representing and meet the USGA Rules of Amateur Status.  Professionals must be affiliated with and amateurs must be a member of the club that they are representing.

ENTRY FEE/DEADLINE

All teams (four players per team) are required to pay an entry fee of $440 which includes all course fees (including cart) and lunch at The Foundry Golf Club. A completed entry form accompanied by the entry fee must be received in the VSGA Office by Monday, April 11, 2022.

FORMAT

Championship Proper

18-hole stroke play competition. Four players per club, each club enters two four-ball sides (any combination of regulars, seniors and/or super seniors and up to one professional).  Sum of two (2) four-ball scores make up the team total. There will be a regular set of tee markers, a senior set of tee markers (for those ages 50 & over) and a super senior set of tee markers (for those ages 65 & over).  All women will play from the super senior set of tee markers regardless of age.

FIELD SIZE/TOURNAMENT MAKE-UP

Field will be limited to 50 teams. Multiple entries from clubs will only be accepted if the field is incomplete so clubs submitting multiple entries must identify their "A" team.

If more than 50 club (i.e. The Foundry GC) entries are received, priority acceptance will be given to the top 20 clubs from the previous year’s Club Championship and the host club. The remaining club entries will be accepted based on date of paid entry.

If fewer than 50 club entries but more than 50 team (i.e. The Foundry GC “A”, The Foundry GC “B”) entries (includes multiple club entries) are received, priority acceptance will be given to all “A” teams, the top 20 clubs from the previous year’s Club Championship and the host club’s “B” team. The remaining “B” teams from clubs will be accepted based on date of paid entry.

PRIZES/TIES

A trophy and prize will be awarded to the Champions. Prizes will be awarded to additional teams based on field size.  Amateurs will receive gift certificates to The Foundry Golf Club.  Professionals will receive a check by mail.

A tie for the champion will not be broken and multiple teams will receive a trophy and have their name engraved on the perpetual trophy.  All gift certificate and check amounts will be split evenly in the case of a tie for any position.
