FORMAT/QUALIFYING PLACES 36 holes of individual stroke play for TBD qualifying spots and 2 alternate spots to be determined to advance to the 2022 U.S. Open Championship to be played June 16-19 at The Country Club in Brookline, MA. |
PRACTICE ROUND One practice round per player and practice rounds are for players only. Practice rounds will be available from May 28 – June 5 based on club availability. The club is closed on Tuesdays. Players must call Ansley GC – Settindown Creek three days in advance of the desired day to reserve your practice round starting time. Practice round cart and range fee is $30 plus tax and must be paid regardless of whether or not the player chooses to walk or ride. Credit cards ONLY will be accepted methods of payment in the golf shop. Contact the golf shop for practice round availability at (770) 640-4620. |
YARDAGES Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition. A yardage sheet is available the Golf Genius event portal and at the club.

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE The golf shop and driving range will open at 6:15 a.m. the day of competition. |
STARTING TIMES Starting times for tournament play will be assigned by the USGA/GSGA and posted to the Golf Genius event portal June 1. You may visit www.gsga.org and the calendar of events for complete pairing information and starting times beginning on June 1. |
REGISTRATION No formal registration will be held on site. Players should arrive to their assigned starting tee ten minutes before their starting time to allow for the starter to go over instructions and rules of play. Player withdraws must be called in to the GSGA office at (678) 324-5974 or e-mailed to radams@gsga.org. |
CARTS Practice cart and range fees are $30 plus tax. Credit cards ONLY will be accepted. During the qualifying rounds, players must walk at all times. The player's caddie may transport a player’s bag on a cart for a fee of $50 plus tax for the entire day. Please note that there will be no more than two carts per group and caddies rent a seat on a cart. Push carts are also allowed to transport player’s clubs. Spectator carts are strictly prohibited in all instances. |
CADDIES No caddies are available at the host club. Players must provide their own caddie. |
PRIZES A Silver medal and will be presented to the low scorer at the conclusion of the qualifying rounds. “Golden Tickets” and alternate information will be distributed to those qualifying and in alternate positions. |

PREFERED LIES Per the USGA, for all USGA Championships and qualifying rounds, the following policy is in effect: A Local Rule authorizing “Preferred Lies” or “Winter Rules” is NEVER permitted. |
FOOD SERVICE Food and beverage items will be available in the clubhouse starting at 6:30 a.m. Limited breakfast and snack items will be avaialble for purchase from 6:30 - 11:00 a.m. A lunch buffet will be available from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at a cost of $25 per person. Only credit cards will be accepted for F&B purchases. |
PERSONAL APPEARANCE In Local and Sectional Qualifying stages and the Championship proper, players must be neat in appearance with respect to clothing and personal grooming. The Committee in charge decides whether this requirement has been met, and has the authority to withdraw the entry of a player who does not comply. The wearing of short pants is prohibited in the Championship proper, but is permissible in Local and Sectional Qualifying. Metal spiked golf shoes are prohibited in practice rounds and qualifying rounds. |
