8th Young Golfers’ Amateur Championship

Entry Fee: $60.00

Entries Open: 3/15/2022 at 10:00am

Entries Close: 6/30/2022 at 5:00pm

 

Eligibility:

Entries are open to amateur golfers who have an active Mass Golf/GHIN Handicap Index at any public, private, semi-private, municipal or non-real estate Mass Golf member course/club and will not reach their 14th birthday by midnight of July 18, 2022.

 

Entry Procedures:

Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Format:

Competition will be 18 Holes in a Modified Stableford Format.

 

Field:

The Championship Proper field is limited to 48 players on a first come first served bases.
 

Exemptions (Upon receipt of the online registration and fee, the players in the following categories are exempt from Sectional Qualifying); 2022 Young Golfers' Amateur Championship Exemptions

 

Schedule:
Championship Proper
Round 1 - July 18 (18 Holes)
***Any tie for first place will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole playoff.

 

Caddies & Automotive Transportation:

Players are not permitted to use caddies or automotive transportation during the Championship Proper.

 

Food & Beverage:

A complimentary luncheon will be provided for all competitors on July 18.

 

Starting Times:

Championship Proper Starting Times & Player Information will be emailed to all competitors shortly after the last qualifier.

 

Prizes:

The Young Golfers’ Amateur Champion will be presented the John W. Goodrich Memorial Trophy. Merchandise certificates will be awarded and are only redeemable at the host site.
 

Trophy:

The John W. Goodrich Memorial Trophy will be presented to the Champion.

 

Practice Rounds:

Practice rounds privileges are at the discretion of the qualifying site and championship proper host club(s). Mass Golf will provide details surrounding the availability of practice rounds ahead of the scheduled event; please refrain from contacting the host clubs until specific details are received from Mass Golf.

 

Spectator/Parent Policy:

Please adhere to the Mass Golf Junior Spectator/Parent Policy.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy:

Competitors who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf office (email preferred). Entry fee will be refunded less a $20 administrative fee, regardless of reason, if Mass Golf is notified seven (7) days prior to the event. Entry fee will be refunded less 50% for any withdrawals received less than seven (7) days prior to the event. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received on the scheduled date of an event.
