25th Massachusetts Senior Four-Ball Championship

Entry Fee: $300.00 per team

Entries Open: 3/1/2022 at 10:00am

Entries Close: 5/5/2022 at 5:00pm

 

Eligibility:
Entries are open to two-person teams of amateur golfers who have an active Mass Golf/GHIN Handicap Index at any public, private, semi-private, municipal or non-real estate Mass Golf member course/club, who have reached their 55th birthday by May 31, 2022 and who have a combined Handicap Index not exceeding 12.0 [16.0 for Super Senior Division teams] (
at the time of registration
) or have completed their handicap certification.

 

Entry Procedures:

Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Format:

Competition will be 36 Holes at Four-Ball Stroke Play.

All Super Senior Division teams will also be competing for the overall Senior Four-Ball Championship.

 

Field:

The field is limited to 176 teams. Entries will be on a first come, first served basis. Alternate teams will be notified of their playing status by the Mass Golf office.

Schedule:

Championship Proper

Round 1 – May 31 (18 Holes)

Round 2 – June 1 (18 Holes)

Any tie for first place (in either division) will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole playoff at Twin Hills CC.

 

Caddies & Automotive Transportation:

Cart fee is included in entry fee for both Championship rounds. Caddies and pull carts (at the host club(s) discretion) are permitted.

 

Food & Beverage:

Mass Golf will be providing a complimentary luncheon on May 31 (at both Championship sites) for all competitors.

 

Starting Times:

Championship Proper Starting Times & Player Information will be emailed to all competitors shortly after the close of entries.

 

Prizes:

Merchandise certificates will be awarded and are only redeemable at the host site(s).

 

Trophy:

The James Shea Memorial Trophy will be presented to the Champion.

The Super Senior Division Trophy will be presented to the Champion.

 

Practice Rounds:

Courtesy practice privileges are at the discretion of the host club(s). Mass Golf will provide details surrounding the availability of practice rounds ahead of the scheduled event; please refrain from contacting the host clubs until specific details are received from Mass Golf.

 

Inclement Weather/Cancelled Round Stipulation:

Inclement Weather/Cancelled Round Stipulation; If 36-holes of competition cannot be completed as scheduled, the low 18-hole score from each site will be used to determine Co-Champions in both divisions.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy:

Competitors who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf office (email preferred). Entry fee will be refunded less a $20 administrative fee, regardless of reason, if Mass Golf is notified seven (7) days prior to the event. Entry fee will be refunded less 50% for any withdrawals received less than seven (7) days prior to the event. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received on the scheduled date of an event.
