History

The Southeastern Challenge Match is a biennial competition among female amateur golfers representing the Georgia State Golf Association, the Florida State Golf Association and the Alabama Golf Association. The 12-woman teams consist of eight amateurs and four seniors. The site rotates among the three states.

 

Teams

Each team from Florida, Georgia, and Alabama consists of:

• Four players 50 years of age and older 
• Eight players of which no more than two junior players of the age of 18 and under
   

Championship Format

Day 1

• Morning Four-Ball Matches

• Afternoon Foursome Three-Ball Matches

Day 2

• Morning Three-Ball Matches

 

Scoring

Each match is played as an 18 hole round.

• One point for a win
• One-half point for a match ending all square
• No points for a loss
