The Johnnie Walker Classic will be played at Ocean View Golf Course on Saturday, 20th & Sunday, 21st November, 2021.

 

The event is a 36-hole individual stroke play tournament with three divisions: Professional, Open and Senior (60 years).

 

Terms of Competition:

 

Eligibility:

Entries are open to professional and amateur players without any limitations.

 

Format:

The event is an individual stroke play event played over 36 holes and based on the combined gross scores for the two rounds.

 

Handicaps:

Professional Division - No Handicap

Open Division & Senior Division – 100% Handicap

 

Divisions:

Professional Division – Blue / Gold tees

Open Division – Blue / Gold tees

Senior Division (60 years) – White / Blue tees 

 

Time of starting:

Players will be assigned tee times for each round and are requested to be in the vicinity of the 1st tee at least 10 minutes before their assigned tee time. If a player arrives at the 1st tee within 5 minutes after his start time, he will receive a two stroke penalty on the 1st hole. A player who arrives after 5 minutes of his tee time will be disqualified (Rule 5.3a).

 

Round 2 starting times will be based on the gross position of the player in each division following round 1.

 

Winner:

The 2021 Johnnie Walker Classic winner will be the player with the lowest combined gross score over 36 holes from the Professional or Open Division playing from the Blue / Gold tees. Gross and net prizes will also be awarded in the Open and Senior Divisions.

 

Scoring Area

The scoring area will be located in the main lounge area. Players must report to the scoring area immediately after play and submit a signed and attested scorecard.  A scorecard is considered ‘returned’ when the player has left the immediate scoring area, after which no further changes may be made.

 

Ties – in the event of a tie for 1st place, a sudden death playoff will be held for the players involved, starting on hole #18 and repeated until there is a winner. Ties for the remaining places will be made by the tie break method of matching scorecards (lowest back 9, 6, 3 &1)

 

Changing Terms of Competition:

In the event that play is suspended due to dangerous weather conditions or unplayable conditions, the committee reserve the right to reduce the competition to an 18-hole event. 

 

Close of Competition:

The close of competition will be considered final at the commencement of the prize giving ceremony.
