2021 Dolly Sullivan Team Best Ball Tournament

The Cape Club of Sharon | Sharon, MA | August 24 and September 21, 2021

 

Entry Fee: $500.00 per team of four

Entries Open: 5/18/2021 at 10:00am

Entries Close: 8/03/2021 at 5:00pm

 

Eligibility: Registration by designated club contact only. If you do not have a designated club captain and would like to be one e-mail nnesenoff@massgolf.org. Four women teams. Open to amateur golfers who have an active Mass Golf/GHIN Handicap Index up to 54.0 (as determined by August 3, 2021 Handicap Revision). Players with a handicap index of higher than 36.0 will be limited to a 36.0 Player Handicap. All players must have an active GHIN # at the same club.

 

Entry Procedures: Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Field: Entries will be on a first come, first served basis. After the field is full a waitlist will automatically start.

 

Format: Teams play their own ball on each hole. At the end of each hole the four person team writes down the best person’s score on that hole (gross) and the best handicapped score on that hole (net). Each golfer’s handicap dots will be put on their scorecard for reference.  

 

Handicaps: 75% Playing Handicap. Indexes computed on August 3rd, 2021.

                           

Tees: Mass Golf Red Tees from approximately 5,000 - 5,000 yards.

  

Caddies & Automotive Transportation: Cart fee is included in entry fee. Caddies and pull carts (at the host club(s) discretion) are permitted.

 

Food & Beverage: Mass Golf will be providing a complimentary lunch for all competitors.

 

Starting Time: All golfers to be ready at their carts by 7:45 AM and by 1:45 PM for their respective 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM shotguns.

 

Awards: Overall low gross and low net teams engraved onto trophy. Ties honored for first place gross and net only. All other ties will be decided by matching cards in accordance with USGA recommended method. Prize certificates to be used at host club. Tee prizes will be distributed to all participants.

 

Practice Rounds: The Cape Club of Sharon will not be offering practice rounds ahead of the scheduled event.

 

Rules of Golf: The USGA Rules of Golf, Local Rules and Terms of Competitions for Mass Golf Tournaments govern all play.

Distance-Measuring Devices: Permitted as specified in Mass Golf Championship Policies & Procedures.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy: Competitors who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf office (email preferred). Entry fee will be refunded less a $20 administrative fee, regardless of reason, if Mass Golf is notified seven (7) days prior to the event. Entry fee will be refunded less 50% for any withdrawals received less than seven (7) days prior to the event. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received on the scheduled date of an event.
