2021 Allen Bowl Four-Ball Tournament

Entry Fee: $200.00 per team

Entries Open: 5/18/2021 at 10:00am

Entries Close: 6/29/2021 at 5:00pm

 

Eligibility: Two women teams. Entries are open to amateur golfers who have an active Mass Golf/GHIN Handicap Index of 18.1 to 54.0 (as determined by June 29, 2021 Handicap Revision). Players with a handicap index of higher than 36.0 will be limited to a 36.0 Player Handicap.

 

Entry Procedures: Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Field: Entries will be on a first come, first served basis. After the field is full a waitlist will automatically start.

 

Format: Teams play their own ball on each hole. At the end of each hole the two person team writes down the best person’s score on that hole (gross) and the best handicapped score on that hole (net). Each golfer’s handicap dots will be put on their scorecard for reference. 

 

Handicaps: 95% Playing Handicap. Indexes computed on June 29th, 2021.

                           

Tees: Mass Golf Red Tees from approximately 5,000 - 5,500 yards.

  

Caddies & Automotive Transportation: Cart fee is included in entry fee. Caddies and pull carts (at the host club(s) discretion) are permitted.

 

Food & Beverage: Mass Golf will be providing a complimentary lunch for all competitors.

 

Starting Time: All golfers to be ready at their carts at 8:40 AM. Shotgun start at 9:00 AM.

 

Awards: The Eleanor W. Allen Bowl is a permanent trophy and will be engraved with the names of the gross winners. Ties for overall gross will be honored. Other ties will be decided by a matching of cards in accordance with USGA recommended method. Prize Certificates (gross & net places) will be given out and must be redeemed at The Meadow at Peabody.  

 

Practice Rounds: The Meadow at Peabody will be offering practice rounds ahead of the scheduled event.

 

Rules of Golf: The USGA Rules of Golf, Local Rules and Terms of Competitions for Mass Golf Tournaments govern all play.

Distance-Measuring Devices: Permitted as specified in Mass Golf Championship Policies & Procedures.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy: Competitors who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf office (email preferred). Entry fee will be refunded less a $20 administrative fee, regardless of reason, if Mass Golf is notified seven (7) days prior to the event. Entry fee will be refunded less 50% for any withdrawals received less than seven (7) days prior to the event. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received on the scheduled date of an event.
