2021 Mother Son Modified Scotch Tournament

Entry Fee: $200/18 Hole Division, $100/9 Hole Division

Entries Open: 05/11/2021 at 10:00am

Entries Close: 07/22/2021 at 5:00pm

 

Eligibility: Two person teams. Entries open to Mothers/Grandmothers and Sons/Grandsons. Entries are open to amateur golfers who have an active Mass Golf/GHIN Handicap Index not exceeding 54.0.0 (as determined by the July 22, 2021 Handicap Revision). Players with a handicap index of higher than 36.0 will be limited to a 36.0 Player Handicap. Please contact Mass Golf if you have a junior who needs a GHIN index. Mothers/Grandmothers can play with up to two sons.

Division 1:  Sons 19 years and older.

Division 2:  Sons 13 to 18 years old.

Division 3:  Sons 12 years and younger – 9 holes only.

Entry Procedures: Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

Field: Entries will be on a first come, first served basis. After the field is full a waitlist will automatically start.

Format: Both golfers hit their tee shot. Then they select which drive they want to use of the two and play alternate shot into the hole with that ball. Teams write down the team score on each hole.

Handicaps: 50% combined indexes. Indexes computed on July 22nd, 2021.                

Tees: Mass Golf Red Tees

Caddies & Automotive Transportation: Cart fee is included in entry fee. Caddies and pull carts (at the host club(s) discretion) are permitted.

Food & Beverage: Mass Golf will be providing a complimentary lunch for all competitors.

Starting Time: All golfers to be ready at their carts at 8:50 AM. Shotgun start at 9:00 AM.

Awards: Overall and Division Trophies engraved with names of gross winners.  Ties honored for first place gross only. All other ties will be decided by matching cards in accordance with USGA recommended method. Prize certificates to be used at host club.

Rules of Golf: The USGA Rules of Golf, Local Rules and Terms of Competitions for Mass Golf Tournaments govern all play.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy: Competitors who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf office (email preferred). Entry fee will be refunded less a $20 administrative fee, regardless of reason, if Mass Golf is notified seven (7) days prior to the event. Entry fee will be refunded less 50% for any withdrawals received less than seven (7) days prior to the event. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received on the scheduled date of an event.
