2021 Erie County Amateur Championship

Terms of the Competition
ELIGIBILITY
This championship is open to male and female amateur golfers who live in the BDGA Region, which includes the counties of Erie, Niagara, Allegheny, Wyoming, Genesee, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus. As well as the Southern Ontario Regional Municipalities.
ENTRIES, DEADLINE, AND REFUND POLICY
- Entries: An entry must be submitted online with payment prior to the deadline. Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.
- Entry Fee: $90 for adults and $60 for juniors. This includes green fees, lunch, prizes and awards.
- Deadline: Entries must be received prior to the deadline (5PM EST on Tuesday, July 6, 2021). Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.
- Refund Policy: The entry fee, less a $10 service fee, will be refunded if a player withdraws prior to the close of entries. No refunds are given after this time.
FORMAT
The format is 36 holes of individual stroke play
DIVISIONS
Players will register for one of the five divisions listed below. Players will not be permitted to change divisions after the close of entries.
- Men's Open Division
- Men's Senior Division (ages 50+)
- Women's Division
- Boys' Division (18 & Under)
- Girls' Division (18 & Under)
RULES
All play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. Players will be provided a "Notice to Players" rules sheet containing local rules and conditions. The BDGA will have volunteer Rules Officials on the course to provide rulings and answer questions.
TIES
If there is a tie for the winner in any division, a sudden-death will be used unless it is impossible due to darkness or course unavailability. Otherwise, ties will be broken using the USGA method of matching scorecards, which compares the last nine holes (10-18), then last six holes (13-18), last three holes (16-18), and last hole (18)

PLAYERS LUNCHES
Players will be provided lunch both days following the conclussion of their round.
BDGA POY Points
This is a BDGA POY points event.
NOTE: If you are 50+ years old, you only receive points in the division you sign up for. If you play in the Men's Division, you will not receive points in the Senior Division, and vice versa.
