2021 Curtis Bowl Scotch Tournament

Entry Fee: $200.00 per team

Entries Open: 3/23/2021 at 10:00am

Entries Close: 4/20/2021 at 5:00pm

 

Eligibility:
Entries are open to two-person teams of female amateur golfers who have an active Mass Golf/GHIN Handicap Index at any public, private, semi-private, municipal or non-real estate Mass Golf member course/club not exceeding 54.0 (as determined by the April 20, 2021 Handicap Revision), or who have completed their handicap certification. Players with a Handicap Index of higher than 36.0 will be limited to a 36 Player Handicap.

 

Entry Procedures:

Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Field:

Entries will be on a first come, first served basis. After the field is full a waitlist will automatically start.

 

Format: Golfers hit off alternate tees (player one hits drive on first hole, player two hits drive on second hole, etc.) and then play alternate shots into the hole. Teams write/input the team score into the app on each hole.

 

Handicaps: 50% combined indexes. Indexes computed on April 20th, 2021.

                           

Tees: Mass Golf Red Tees from approximately 5,000 yards.

  

Caddies & Automotive Transportation:

Cart fee is included in entry fee. Caddies and pull carts (at the host club(s) discretion) are permitted.

 

Food & Beverage:

Mass Golf will be providing a complimentary lunch for all competitors.

 

Starting Time: All golfers to be ready at their carts at 9:45 AM. Shotgun start at 10:00 AM.

 

Awards: The Curtis Bowl Scotch has a permanent trophy that will be engraved with the names of the low gross winners. Ties for overall gross will be honored. Other ties will be decided by a matching of cards in accordance with USGA recommended method.  Prize Certificates (gross & net places) will be given out to be redeemed at Northern Spy Golf Club.  

 

Practice Rounds:

Northern Spy Golf Club will not be offering practice rounds ahead of the scheduled event.

 

Rules of Golf: The USGA Rules of Golf, Local Rules and Terms of Competitions for Mass Golf Tournaments govern all play.

Distance-Measuring Devices: Permitted as specified in Mass Golf Championship Policies & Procedures.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy:

Competitors who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf office (email preferred). Entry fee will be refunded less a $20 administrative fee, regardless of reason, if Mass Golf is notified seven (7) days prior to the event. Entry fee will be refunded less 50% for any withdrawals received less than seven (7) days prior to the event. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received on the scheduled date of an event.
