Terms of the Competition

ELIGIBILITY

This championship is open to male amateur golfers who meet the following requirements:

  • Membership:  Be a member of the TCGA, defined as either belonging to (1) an TCGA member club or (2) Residency in the counties of Broome, Otsego, Cortland, Chenango, Tioga, Delaware or Susquehanna County of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Age (Senior Division): For the senior division, players must be at least 50 years old (as of July 16, 2021)

 

ENTRIES, DEADLINE, AND REFUND POLICY

  • Entries: An entry must be submitted online with payment prior to the deadline. Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.
  • Entry Fee (Includes Green Fees, Carts, Range, Prizes, and Awards):
    • TCGA Amateur: $120
    • TCGA Senior Amateur: $100
  • Deadline: Entries must be received prior to the deadline (9PM EST on Monday, July 12, 2021). Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.
  • Refund Policy: The entry fee, less a $10 service fee, will be refunded if a player withdraws prior to the close of entries. No refunds are given after this time.

  • TCGA Amateur Championship (Open Division) - Stroke Play, 54 Holes
    • Friday, July 16 // Round 1 // Endwell Greens GC // Tee times TBA
    • Saturday, July 17 // Round 2 // The Links at Hiawatha Landing // Tee times TBA
    • Cut: There is a cut after 36 holes to the top-30 and ties
    • Sunday, July 18 // Round 3 // Binghamton CC // Tee times TBA
  • TCGA Senior Amateur Championship (Senior Division) - Stroke Play, 36 Holes
    • Friday, July 16 // Round 1 // Endwell Greens GC // Tee times TBA
    • Saturday, July 17 // Round 2 // The Links at Hiawatha Landing // Tee times TBA

 

RULES

All play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. Players will be provided a "Notice to Players" rules sheet containing local rules and conditions. 

 

GOLF CARTS AND RANGE

Payment for use of golf carts and the range is included in your entry fee. Players may choose to walk if desired.

 

CADDIES

The use of a caddie is permitted

 

PRIZES AND AWARDS

The champion will hold the TCGA Amateur trophy for a year. Additional top finishers (based on the number of entrants) will receive prizes as gift certificates from the pro shop.
