What a grand day of competition in the Championship round of the Maine Senior Women’s Amateur! Congratulations to the 2021 Champion, Kristin Kannegeiser, with a (75/77)152 to best the field by 4 strokes in the inaugural 2-day event at Augusta Country Club. Leslie Guenther managed to come from deeper in the pack to seize the Runner-up title with a (78/78) 156. Mary Brandes also shot an impressive 156 but lost the runner-up title in a match of cards.

A couple of other notable moments from the final round: “Rookie” Senior, Ruth Colucci, came in 7th in a strong field of 18 competitors. Sheila Brocki had a sweet Eagle on #9 with a shot from about 100 yards out finding the hole. Finally, Liz Coffin made a strong charge at the lead with the best front 9 of the day with a 35 en route to a 4th place finish.
