ELIGIBILITY

Open to male and female golfers of all ages. Participants must hold an active GHIN number issued by a licensed VSGA Member Club in good standing and meet the USGA Rules of Amateur Status. For additional information see the VSGA Championship and Tournament Eligibility Guidelines.

ENTRY FEE/DEADLINE

All sides (two players) are required to pay an entry fee of $160 which includes all course fees (including cart) for the day of competition and lunch.  In addition, the VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice round fee with the host club.  A completed, signed entry form, accompanied by the entry fee, must be received in the VSGA office by Monday, August 2, 2021.

FORMAT

18-hole four-ball stroke play competition with gross and net prizes. Each side must have one male and one female player. Each player’s handicap will be determined for the host club and each player will receive 85% of that handicap. The Handicap Index for the day before the event will be used. Sides will be divided into divisions, as equally as possible, based on combined handicap.  There will be three sets of tees for men: one set for those age 49 and under, one set for those age 50-64, and one set for those 65 and over.  There will also be two sets of tees for women:  one set for those age 35 and under with a 9.9 handicap index or less and one set for those age 36 and older or those with a 10.0 handicap index or higher.

FIELD SIZE/TOURNAMENT MAKE-UP

The field will be limited to 50 sides (25 per shotgun). If the number of entries exceeds the maximum allowable entrants, the field will be determined by blind draw. The committee reserves the right to condense the tournament to one shotgun based on number of entries.

PRIZES

There will be an overall low gross and low net prize. Additional gross and net prizes will be awarded in each division.
