ELIGIBILITY

Open to VSGA members who will be 50 years of age by August 16, 2021. Participants must hold an active GHIN number issued by a licensed VSGA Member Club in good standing and meet the USGA Rules of Amateur Status. ENTRY FEES/DEADLINES

Qualifying

Players competing in a qualifier are required to submit an entry form with the entry fee of $105 by Monday, July 19, 2021.  The $105 qualifying fee includes the mandatory course fee at the qualifier and $75 of the qualifying fee is applied to the championship entry fee for successful qualifiers.  The VSGA will also negotiate a discounted practice round fee with the host clubs.

Successful Qualifiers

Those who successfully qualify are required to pay the entry balance of $185 by August 6, 2021 which includes all course fees (including cart) and lunch for all rounds of competition.  In addition, the VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice round fee with the host club.

Exempt Players

Exempt players are required to submit an entry form with the entry fee of $260 by Monday, July 19, 2021. Entry fee includes all course fees (including cart) and lunch for all rounds of competition.  In addition, the VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice round fee with the host club.

FORMAT

Qualifying

All non-exempt players must qualify to play in the championship. A player may only compete in one qualifier and each qualifier will be 18-holes of stroke play. Sites will be filled on a first come, first served basis. The number of qualifying spots available at each qualifier will be determined based on participation and will be announced on-site.

Championship Proper - 84 Players (includes all qualifiers and exempt players)

August 16-17 – Stroke play qualifying (18 holes per day); the low 32 players advance to match play

August 18 – Rounds One and Two of match play

August 19 – Quarterfinal and Semifinal matches

August 20 – 18-hole match play final

PRIZES

The Champion, Finalist and Semifinalists receive gift certificates and trophies. All match play qualifiers will receive a gift certificate. All players that qualify for the Championship will receive a gift. The on-site qualifying medalist(s) will receive a VSGA medal.
