Eligibility: Entries are open to female amateur golfers who are Regular Members of the WVGA. Please Reference WVGA Policies and Procedures for further details.
Format: The WV Women's Amateur Championship is a 54-hole stroke play championship. Players must choose upon registration which flight they will compete in. (Championship or Quarrier Division) Upon conclusion of Round 2, players in the Quarrier Division will be flighted into a maximum of three (3) flights, but will be determined depending on field size.
Championship Division: Players will compete at app. 5,700 yards in gross competition only. Players in the Championship Division will not be eligible for fewest putt and/or closest to the hole awards.
Quarrier Division: Players will compete at app. 5,100 yards in gross and net competition. Players in the Quarrier Division will be eligible for fewest putts and closest to the hole awards. Following Round 2, the Quarrier Division will be flighted into a maximum of three (3) flights and each flight winner will be presented with a trophy.
Roger Dean Low Net Trophy - will be presented to the low net player in the Quarrier Division.
Sue B. Everett Trophy - will be presented to the Low Senior of the championship from the Championship Division.
Top 10 - The Top 10 Awards will be presented to the Low 10 Gross players following the completion of the championship.
Divisions: Championship (app. 5,700 yards) or Quarrier (5,100 yards)
Field Size: The maximum field size is 72 players
Practice Round: Practice rounds are scheduled for the dates of July 10th after 12PM. Practice Round fee is $25 + tax and can be scheduled by calling the Berry Hills Pro Shop at 304-744-8790. Players may schedule their practice round on other days but are subject to host site availability and VIP Card fee.
Player Dinner: Information to be included in player information packet, which will be emailed out by Thursday July 8th.
Cart Fees: All cart fees will be included in your entry fee.
Spectator Carts: Spectator carts will not be permitted during this championship with the exception of a spectator who can provide an issued and active Handicap Permit. Final decision will be made by the WVGA Executive Director.
Caddies: Caddies are permitted during the championship. Players are responsible for supplying their own caddie. Caddies may ride in golf carts if it adheres to the WVGA cart policy and there is an available seat. * WVGA Cart Policy - there will be a maximum of 2 carts per group and 2 individuals per cart. *
Pairings: Pairings will be released and updated on the WVGA website by Thursday, July 8th. Pairings will also be included in the Player Information that will be emailed to each player by Thursday, July 8th.

Electronic Measuring Devices: Electronic devices that measure distance only are permitted for this championship.
Withdrawal Policy: In the event of a tournament withdraw; the player must notify the West Virginia Golf Association Office at 304-391-5000 no later than one week prior to the tournament. If withdraw is made prior to tournament deadline, the player may receive a refund regardless of reason less a $20 administrative fee. For a withdraw made after the entry deadline, the player may receive a refund only if player has experienced a sudden illness or injury, and only if the West Virginia Golf Association is notified prior to the first round of the tournament. All refund request must be submitted in writing to the Executive Director, Brad Ullman.
