92nd Massachusetts Women’s Four-Ball Championship for the Townsend Cup

Entry Fee: $200.00 per team

Entries Open: 3/2/2021 at 10:00am

Entries Close: 6/17/2021 at 5:00pm

 

Eligibility:
Entries are open to two-person team of female amateur golfers who have an active Mass Golf/GHIN Handicap Index at any public, private, semi-private, municipal or non-real estate Mass Golf member course/club not exceeding 18.0 (as determined by the June 17, 2021 Handicap Revision), or who have completed their handicap certification.

 

Entry Procedures:

Entries and fully paid entry fees must be received through the Mass Golf Online Entry process by 5:00pm EST on the published entry deadline.

 

Format:

Competition will be 18 Holes at Four-Ball Stroke Play.
Gross & Net (85% of course handicap)
 

Field:

The field is limited to 52 teams. Entries will be on a first come, first served basis. Alternate teams will be notified of their playing status by the Mass Golf office.

 

Schedule:

Championship Proper

Round 1 – July 7 (18 Holes) Gross and Net (85% of course handicap)

Any tie for first place will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole playoff.

 

Caddies & Automotive Transportation:

Cart fee is included in entry fee. Caddies and pull carts (at the host club(s) discretion) are permitted.

 

Food & Beverage:

Mass Golf will be providing a complimentary luncheon on July 7 for all competitors.

 

Starting Times:

Championship Proper Starting Times & Player Information will be emailed to all competitors shortly after the close of entries.

 

Prizes:

Merchandise certificates (gross & net) will be awarded and are only redeemable at the host site.

 

Trophy:
Permanent Trophy engraved with names of low gross winners.

 

Practice Rounds:

Courtesy practice privileges are at the discretion of the host club(s). Mass Golf will provide details surrounding the availability of practice rounds ahead of the scheduled event; please refrain from contacting the host clubs until specific details are received from Mass Golf.

Withdrawal & Refund Policy:

Competitors who have submitted an entry for a Mass Golf event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the Mass Golf office (email preferred). Entry fee will be refunded less a $20 administrative fee, regardless of reason, if Mass Golf is notified seven (7) days prior to the event. Entry fee will be refunded less 50% for any withdrawals received less than seven (7) days prior to the event. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received on the scheduled date of an event.
