Player Information Sheet

Qualifying & Alternate Spots Available: There will be 2 qualifying places, plus 2 alternates.
 

Practice Rounds: Please contact the Newport National Golf Shop to arrange a time.(401)848-9690. Registered players only.  Fee is $65.00, which includes a cart. The following dates are available: 
                                        9/8 - Anytime; 9/11 - After 2pm; 9/12 - After 2pm; 9/13 - 7:30am Shotgun.. 

Golf Shop & Locker Room: Newport National does not have a locker room, the pro shop will be available by 7:00am.

Practice Facilities: Newport National does not have a range.  The range at Green Valley CC will be made available by 7:00am on the day of competition.  Green Valley CC address: 371 Union Avenue, Portsmouth, RI 02871
 

Food & Beverage:  will be available on a cash basis.

Withdrawals: Please call the USGA Championships Department at (908)326-1950. Also, please contact the RIGA office at (401)272-1350.
  Note: Players (NOT teams/sides) wishing to withdraw, please DO NOT notify the USGA of your withdrawal. Any withdrawals sent to and    processed by the USGA Championship Department will result in the withdrawal of your entire team (side). Player’s are permitted to represent their team/side as an individual in both the qualifying event and the Championship Proper.
 

Golf Ball: The One-Ball Rule will be in effect.

Distance Measuring Devices:  The use of measuring devices is permitted.
 

Competition Tees/Yardage: The competition will be played from the BLACK Tees (Approx. 7000 yards, Par 72).
 

Automotive Transportation: The use of motorized carts during the qualifying round and tournament proper is prohibited.  A player
make carry their own bag, take a caddie or use a push/pull cart.
