UTAH SENIOR & SUPER SENIOR
STATE AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
August 23-26, 2021
ENTRY FEE
$160 per player.
- $65 for qualifying.
- $95 to advance to championship.
FORMAT
18-hole stroke-play qualifying round on Day 1. The top 32 players from the Senior Division and the top 16 players from Super-Senior Division will advance to the match play portion of the Championship. Seeding will be determined by the Stroke Play Qualifying Round.
(This is a new addition in 2021 and is separate from the regional qualifier which is required to advance to the championship site at Bonneville)
FIELD SIZE
Senior - 48 Players, Super Senior - 24 Players. There will no longer be a net division for this event. There will be a UGA Net Championship held in October.
ELIGIBILITY
All UGA members who are 50 years of age or older as of the first day of the match play competition are eligible to compete. Players who wish to compete in the Super-Senior Division must be 65 years of age or older as of the first day of the match play competition.
STARTING TIMES
Starting times will be e-mailed to players after the registration deadline has passed.
PRACTICE ROUNDS
The UGA will be providing a complimentary practice round at Bonneville Golf Course. You may call the golf shop to make a tee time. Complimentary practice rounds will be available on August 21-22 after 2:00pm. If a player chooses to play a practice round outside of that window, they will be responsible for the practice round fees. Complimentary practice rounds will include cart and range fees.
FLIGHT INFORMATION
The tournament will have a Championship Division (age 50+, gross only), a Super-Senior Division (age 65+, gross only).

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS - CHAMPIONSHIP PROPER
Day 1 (AM) – Stroke Play Qualifying Round (New in 2021)
Day 2 (AM) - Round of 32 (Senior); Round of 16 (Super-Senior)
Day 2 (PM) – Round of 16 (Senior Division Only)
Day 3 (AM) – Quarter-Finals (Senior & Super Senior)
Day 3 (PM) – Semi-Finals (Senior & Super Senior)
Day 4 (AM) – Finals (Senior & Super Senior)
REFUNDS AND WITHDRAWALS
If a player withdraws prior to the registration deadline the player will receive a refund minus a $20 cancellation fee. After the deadline, the player will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be issued if a player withdraws/no-shows on the day of the event. A business day starts at 12:01 am of that day. In team competitions, if a player needs a substitute for his original partner after the field has closed; he must arrange to get the substitute. Any substitute must meet all eligibility requirements of the specified competition. The UGA must be notified of any substitutions prior to the start of the tournament.
*If a player has tested positive for Covid-19, the player will receive a full refund minus a $20 administration fee and will not be subject to a 50% penalty after the registration deadline. No refunds will be issued if a player withdraws/no-shows on the day of the event.
*The UGA reserves the right to extend the field at any time.
