There are a few items you will be required to do prior to competing in the PGA of Ontario Player of the Year Championship.

 

1. You and your caddie (if applicable) are required to complete the online COVID-19 Waiver prior to the PGA of Ontario Player of the Year and Senior Player of the Year Championship. If it is not completed you will not be permitted to play.
    
2. You are required to read ALL PGA of Ontario Player of the Year Championship COVID-19 Protocols.
    
3. UPDATE 22/09/2021: Proof of Vaccination is NOT required to compete in the 2021 Player of the Year Championship - see COVID-19 Protocols for more details regarding host-club specific rules.

 

IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT YOU READ, UNDERSTAND AND ADHERE TO ALL THE COVID-19 RULES AND PROTOCOLS PUT IN PLACE AT THE HOST FACILITY AS WELL AS THE PGA OF ONTARIO.

FORMAT

POY - 36-hole Stroke Play
POY Senior Division(s) - 18-hole Stroke Play

 

*The facility has requested that the event be completed in foursomes* 

 

SKINS

Skins will be conducted using the following guidelines - $20 per round.

 

AT THE RANGE

• Driving Range will be available to participants PRIOR to tee times each day.
• We discourage practice on the range Monday POST ROUND. 

 

CARTS AND ON-COURSE EQUIPMENT

• Competitors may walk or make arrangements with the host club for use of a motorized golf cart.  Players must adhere to the host facility cart rules.
• Carts will be available - $23 plus HST for shared cart.  Due to the fleet cart size, only 2 carts/ tee time.
• If you must ride alone, a $15 plus HST surcharge will be added.  

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS

• Due to member play, practice rounds are only available Sunday, September 26th starting at 3:30 PM at a cost of $23/per (cart-fee only)
• Please call the Golf Shop (905-384-4653) directly to arrange based on day and availability.

 

CADDIES/SPECTATORS

• Grand Niagara Golf Club will allow spectators and caddies.
• No extra riding carts will be provided to spectators and/or caddies (based on the size of fleet and business).

 

EVENT DETAILS

Lunch, beer, and prize presentation following play on day 2. Choice of hamburger or turkey wrap/ham and cheese wrap.

DRESS CODE

Competitors must adhere to the PGA of Ontario Dress Code which is also available in the competitor registration package.

 

**Appropriate footwear must be worn at all times. Open-toed footwear, (sandals of any type/flip flop style footwear) will not be permitted into host venue Clubhouses prior to or upon completion of any Ontario Zone sanctioned round.
