ENTRY FEE: $200 PER TEAM
REFUND POLICY: Entry fee will be refunded regardless of reason if LGA office is notified, in writing, before the close of entries. After the close of entries, fee will be refunded only in the event of injury or illness provided notification (accompanied by a doctor’s statement) reaches LGA office by February 26, 2021. A $40 service charge will be deducted from all refunds.
Eligibility: Entries are open to any junior who is an amateur golfer (as defined by the USGA) and is an active member of the Louisiana Junior Golf Tour. Entrants must be 11 years of age by midnight, February 27, 2021, and cannot have reached their 19th birthday by midnight, February 28, 2021. Non-amateurs are not eligible. Entries are subject to rejection at any time (including during the championship) by the LGA. Reasons for rejection may include unbecoming conduct.
Field/Format of Play: Limited to the first 48 team entries. Participants must choose to enter the appropriate divsion: Boys' 11-13, Boys' Overall 13-18 or Girls' 13-18. The Overall Boys' division will compete from approximately 6,600 yards. The Girls' and Boys' 11-13 division will compete from a forward tee approximately 5,400 yards.
Competitors will not be permitted to use automotive transportation (carts) and/or caddies. All participants will carry thier own clubs. Pull carts will be permitted.
Dress Code, Cell Phones: Competitors must be neat in appearance and wear appropriate attire. No gym shorts, cutoffs, blue jeans, tee shirts, etc. Shorts must be Bermuda length. Use of cell phones, including those used as Electronic Measuring Devices, is prohibited on the course during the competition (The Committee reserves the right to disqualify a competitor for a breach of the policy regarding cell phone usage; See LGA Code of Conduct Policy). Important Note: Squire Creek CC is a spikeless facility and all competitors will be required to wear spikeless shoes.
Practice Privileges: Practice privileges are extended to participants in the Tournament at Squire Creek on February 26, 2021.
Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams in the Overall Boy's division and the top two teams in the Overall Girls' division and Boys' 11-13 division. In addition low medalist honors will be awarded to the 15 and under team from the overall divsion (both partners must be 15 and under). In case of a tie for the championship in all divisions, a sudden death playoff will take place immediately upon the conclusion of play. All other ties, determining prizes and recognition, will be decided by matching scorecards (also known as "card count-back" or scorecard play-off), per the USGA method in section 5A(6) of the Committee Procedures.
Rules of Golf: Play will be governed by the current USGA Rules of Golf and LGA Rules of Play Card. All questions will be settled by the LGA Rules Committee, whose decision will be final. Automotive transportation (carts) and/or caddies will not be permitted.
Spectators: Spectator carts will be made available to rent as arranged through the golf shop at Squire Creek. All spectators will be required to maintain a distance of 25 yards from competitors with no communcation, verbal or non-verbal, with competitors once the round of play has begun. Spectator carts must remain on the cart paths.
HEADQUARTERS HOTEL: Squire Creek Golf Houses, single rooms with queen beds $125/night and King suites $150/night. The golf houses are located on the Squire Creek property just a short walk from the clubhouse adjacent to the pool. Each room has it's own bathroom, Flat screen TV and Wifi access. The unique floor plan and security allows for the rooms to be individually reserved or reserved as a group. Rooms will be released for general use on February 7, reservations made after this date will be on a space available basis.
