Divisions of the StateLine Amateur Tour

Open - Gross Only - Maximum Handicap Index of 3.0 

Senior - Gross Only - Age 50 or Older - Maximum Handicap Index of 8.0

Players - Gross and Net - Age 18 and Older - Handicap Index between 1.0 and 18.2

Super Senior - Gross and Net - Age 60 and Older - Handicap Maximum of 18.2

Legends - Gross and Net - Age 70 and Older - Handicap Maximum of 18.2

 

 

Eligibility

Open to all amateur golfers age 18 and older.  You must have an active handicap index through Central Links Golf in order to be eligible for this Tour.  If you are out of the region, you can join the Eclub of Kansas City through this link.

 

Tour Championship Eligibility

The year ending championship will feature the league's top 75 players, broken into divisions based on the percentage of registered StateLine Tour Members in each division.  The players on the top of the points list in each division will compete in the Championship held at The National Golf Club on October 14:

 

Senior Division:  Top 9 registered players

Super Senior Division: Top 12 registered players*

Legends Division: Top 6 registered players*

Open Division:  Top 18 registered players

Players Division:  Top 30 registered players*

 

*NOTE: The top 3 players on the NET Player of the year lists will also be included, if not already in the field

 

All SLAT members may register for the Championship and will be placed into the field based on the parameters above.  All players who do not make the field, will be placed on a waitlist in the order of player of the year points list within their respective division.  

 

Format

18 holes of stroke play, 10 regular season individual events and season ending tour championship.

 

The Open and Senior divisions compete in gross only stroke play.

The Players, Super Senior and Legends divisions compete in gross and net stroke play.

 

Ties

At the conclusion of play, if a division has a tie for low gross or net, ties will be split, points and certificates will be split.

 

Entries and Fees

Players must join the the StateLine Amateur Tour by paying the $50 membership fee.  Each event is $85 to play.

 

The entry fee includes Golf, Cart, Range Fees and prizes.

 

Rules of Golf, Competition is Final

Play will be governed by The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA.  Questions on situations invloving the Rules will be settled by the on-site Rules Committee, whose decision will be final.  The competition is final when the final group has returned their scorecards and the committee verifies the Competition to be final.

 

 

Equipment

All golf balls and clubs must conform to USGA specifications.  Any unusual equipment or devices such as gloves, unusual tees, alignment aids, braces and the like are prohibited by the Rules of Golf.

 

Dress Code

Proper golf attire is required.  Jeans, halter tops, tank tops and athletic t-shirts are not permitted.  Shoes with metal spikes are not permitted.

 

Transportation

Golf carts are included in the entry fee. Cart rules during the competition are subject to the discretion of the golf course superintendent at the host facility based on course conditions and may change at any time without notice during the competition.  ADA requests for special exceptions to this rule are handled on a case-by-case basis and will be granted provided they would not alter the fundamental fairness of the competition by providing a player with an advantage over other players.  Transportation requests are subject to change based on evolving conditions.

 

Caddies and Golf Carts

Caddies are NOT allowed for StateLine Tour events.  Central Links Golf has a strict 2 carts per group policy and the carts are reserved for the players first.  The pairing group has the responsibility to ensure to adhere to the cart policy.  

 

Spectators

Spectators are allowed and may walk along to watch the event. Golf carts may be rented by spectators if they are available, but carts for an event must be reserved for players, Rules officials and Central Links staff first. Spectators (riding or walking) are asked to remain on the cart path during the play of a hole.  Spectators may help search for golf balls but must not function as a caddie.  Spectators may ride in a player's cart if a seat is available and the group can accomodate the 2 carts per group policy.

 

Registration

On-site registration will not be required.  Please arrive at your starting tee 10 minutes prior to your starting time to receive instructions.

 

Practice Round & Practice Privileges

Practice rounds are permitted, but are NOT included in the entry fee.  The host facility will determine availability and rate for such practice rounds, please contact the golf shop directly.

 

Range

Practice facilities are availble 1 hour before the first starting time each day.
