Team Mississippi vs. Team Louisiana
The Junior River Cup is a Ryder Cup style event between the top junior golfers in Mississippi and Louisiana. It is conducted in Mississippi in even years and Louisiana in odd years.
Field/Format: The Invitational field is made up of 20 players per team. Four players are selected from each age group: Boys 10-11, Boys 12-13, Boys 14-15, Boys16-18, and Girls 13-18. Format of play is Match Play. Four-Ball matches will be played Saturday morning (AM) and Foursome matches will be played that afternoon (PM). These will be 9 hole matches for the Boys10-11 age group ONLY. All other Four-Ball and Foursome matches on Saturday (Sept. 12) will be 18 holes. Each match on Saturday is worth one point. Sunday (Sept. 13) will be Singles matches, all 18 holes, worth 1 point each. Sunday’s Singles Matches will be determined by team captains in advance.
Spectator Carts: Spectator Carts will be available on a first come first serve basis and based on availability. All spectator carts will be $25 and will need to be purchased through the golf shop the day of the event.

Prizes: Medals will be awarded to each player on the winning team, and the winning State Golf Association will take possession of the Junior River Cup trophy for the next calendar year. In case of a tie for the Junior River Cup, team Louisiana will retain possession.
Rules of Golf: Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf. All questions will be settled by the Rules Committee, whose decision will be final.
Food & Beverage: Due to current COVID19 restrictions there will be no Player Dinner on Saturday night. Old Waverly will be grilling outside of the Golf Shop on Saturday and Sunday and will be providing Player Lunches both days. Parents and spectators will be able to purchase food from the grill area and pay for it inside the golf shop as well using credit card only.
Clubhouse Access: Due to current COVID19 restrictions anyone accessing the golf shop or clubhouse must wear a mask at all times. Players and spectators will be able to access the clubhouse and golf shop for restroom access as well as making food & beverage purchases. Breakfast will be available inside the clubhouse and the restaurant will be open inside the clubhouse each night. Players and families wishing to eat at the restaurant must make reservations to dine. We ask that players and families be aware of social distancing and social gathering restrictions and help us maintain both while on-site.
