Players Series - French Creek

Championship Overview

 

Registration Fee: $110 per person for the championship. The registration fee includes the $35 mandatory cart fee. 

 

Format: 18-hole individual gross stroke play. 

 

Eligibility: Open to male GAP Member Club golfers with a Handicap Index of 7.0 or less.

 

Field Size: The field is limited to 78 players. Players will be accepted into the field based the Lowest Handicap Indexes as of the Close of Entries date. Player's are not eligible to sign up for more than 1 Player's Series event. 

 

*Note: Player's playing in the 120th BMW Philadelphia Amateur, 116th Philadelphia Open and the 118th Joseph H. Patterson Cup are not eligible to participate.* 

Practice Rounds: Practice rounds are not available this season.

 

Starting Times: Tee times begin at 7:30 am  off the 1st tee.

 

Automotive Transportaton: All players are permitted to take single rider carts. If there is a Junior who is in the field and not of age, a parent/escort/chaperone is permitted to drive the cart. If carts are not permitted due to weather, then the event will continue as a walking event. A reminder, there will still be no caddies allowed. 

 

Spectators – Spectators will not be permitted; except that any player who requires assistance in transportation to the tournament site or who requires assistance in driving a golf cart during the competition is permitted to authorize one and not more than one person to spectate at the event or, if applicable, but only if such person is a member of the player’s immediate family and living in the same household as the player, to operate the player’s golf cart during the competition; provided that in all such circumstances such person may not provide any assistance to the player, may not indicate the line of play, may not handle the player’s clubs or equipment, and may not otherwise provide any services normally provided by a caddie. 

 

Prizes: Prizes will awarded based on the Final Field Size. 

 

Earned Exemptions: The top three players and ties will earn an exemption into the 121st BMW Philadelphia Amateur, 26th Philadelphia Middle-Amateur and the 119th Joseph H. Patterson Cup 

 

Ties: All other ties will be broken via the USGA recommended scorecard tiebreaking.
