AGES/ELIGIBILITY Open to male amateur golfers who are GSGA members and residents of the state of Georgia. |

FIELD SIZE 120 players |
FORMAT 54 holes of individual stroke play, 18 holes each day Friday-Sunday. After 36 holes of play, the field will be cut to the low 60 players and ties. |
PRACTICE ROUND One practice round per player is included in the entry fee. Practice rounds will be available on the designated times below. Please call Atlanta Athletic Club to reserve your practice round starting time after you have received your championship acceptance. FOR 2020, THIS WILL BE A WALKING ONLY CHAMPIONSHIP. WALKING WILL BE REQUIRED FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP AND PRACTICE ROUNDS. PUSH/PULL CARTS ARE PERMITTED. THE CLUB HAS A LIMITED SUPPLY AVAILABLE.

YARDAGES & TEES A practice yardage sheet will be available after the close of entries on the event portal page. Practice yardage sheets will also be available at the club. Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition. Championship yardage books will be provided to players at registration. |
GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE The golf shop and driving range will open at 6:00 a.m. each day of competition. |
STARTING TIMES Starting times for tournament play will be assigned by the GSGA and posted at the club the day before the competition starts. You may visit www.gsga.org for complete pairing information and starting times beginning on July 8. |
REGISTRATION Formal registration will be held on site Thursday, July 9 from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and on Friday, July 10 from 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. If you are not able to register in person during these times, please call the Atlanta Athletic Club golf shop then to confirm you will be playing in round one on Friday. Player gifts will be distributed at registration. |
CARTS This will be a WALKING ONLY championship. Players may bring pull/push carts or caddies. A very limited number of pull/push carts will be available from the club on a first-come, first-serve basis each day. |
CADDIES Caddies are permitted. Players may provide their own caddie. |
RULES OF PLAY/PACE OF PLAY/CART POLICY The GSGA Rules of Play, Pace of Play and Spectator Cart Policy shall be in effect. Click here to view policies. |
DRESS CODE Proper golf attire must be worn in all phases of this Championship. No tank tops, tee shirts, or blue jeans will be allowed. Competitors must be neat in respect to personal grooming and clothing. Shorts must be Bermuda length. Shirts must have collars. |
FOOD SERVICE CASH ONLY will be accepted for food and beverage purchases by players and spectators at the 1898 House and Halfway House.
Lunch will be provided to all players on all competition rounds at the 1898 house. Caddies and spectators may purchase lunch here as well using CASH ONLY.
Breakfast, lunch and snack options will be available throughout the championship. On course F&B carts will be stationed at a location on each side of the course. Bottled water will be provided by GSGA on #1 & #10 tee. Water stations are available at several locations on the course. |
PRIZES Gift certificates will be awarded to the low 25 finishers. The champion will also receive an additional reward. |

REFUND POLICY A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA on all refunds granted prior to the close of entries. Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled. Withdraws after the close of entries must be made by calling the GSGA Rules and Competitions Department at (770) 955-4272 or (800) 949-4742 or via email.
For the remainder of 2020, a player may request a FULL refund for a withdraw up until their starting time on the first day of competition for ANY reason. After the player's starting time has passed on the first day of competition, NO refunds will be granted. |
