COMPLETE DEFAULT:
- If prior to play, a player defaults, team players will advance to vacate the number 8 position. The scoring will be as follows:
The number seven players will play match play. The number 8 player on the nondefaulting team will play stroke play, playing out every hole. She will receive 9 points from the default position. She can earn additional points for each hole in which her net score is below par up to a maximum of 9 points. She is allowed a maximum of a 36 handicap for the default match only.
- For B and C Teams only, if, in good faith, no players from the respective Club are available to fill in to avoid a default, then the defaulting team may ask for substitute players from first the host Club, then any other Club, to fill out the team in order to avoid a default. If substitute players cannot be found, the unfilled positions will be subject to the default procedures above. No Club is required to provide a substitute player. Any player that has played as a substitute player retains the right to play for her own Club.
PARTIAL DEFAULT:
(Late for Play or Unable to Finish)
Defaulting player will forfeit ½ point for each un-played hole. Non-defaulting player will automatically earn ½ point for each hole of default. The remaining two players will play match play. Example: The number 5 player gets ill and does not play the final three holes. She loses 1 ½ points, her opponent wins 1 ½ points, and the players in the 6 position play match play for the final 3 holes.
