Welcome to the 20th Playing of the Annual Championships of Mayacama Golf Club!
On this website you will find valuable information about this year's Championship, including Terms of the Competition, Supplementary Rules of Play, Local Rules for this year’s Championship (please read them), and special guidelines for Covid-19 Protocol.
First Round Starting Times will be posted in the Golf Shop and on this website at approximately 12:00 noon on Wednesday, August 19th. Pairings for Saturday and Sunday, which are based on first and second round scores, will be posted in the Golf Shop and on the website after 5:00 pm on Friday and Saturday evenings. As always, please feel free to contact a Member of the Professional Staff with any questions about the Championship.
Because of the Coronavirus Pandemic, there are a few things that we would like to call your attention to regarding special conditions of play listed below. Please refer to the Supplementary Rules on this website for clarification on the following areas of the course and how they are treated in this year's Championship:
- The Flagstick
- Revised Definition of when a ball is "Holed".
- Bunkers and Rakes
Because of the limitations on the size of gatherings, we will be utilizing the Championship App for scoring in lieu of our Main Scoreboard. Players may check their scores and standings on the App, which is updated as soon as scorecards have been certified by the Committee. Gathering restrictions have also dictated that we not host our customary Awards Presentation on the Putting Green immediately following the final round of the Championship. We will honor our Champions and post the results on the Members Only Website and through the Mayacama Connection.
In spite of the restrictions that we all must acknowledge, we are still excited and grateful for the opportunity to conduct our Annual Championships. The golf course is in Championship condition and we look forward to honoring our four Champion Golfers of the year at next year's Champions Dinners, along with our 2019 Champions.
