* Please note that following the Exempt Player Deadline any Non-Exempt Players on the Waiting List will be used to fill those spots in the Championship.
Eligibility: Competitors are required to have an active GHIN Handicap through a USGA Licensed Mississippi Club. Competitors must be bona fide residents of Mississippi for at least 60 days prior to the first round of the Championship. All must conform with the USGA Rules of Amateur Status.
Qualifying: There are no Qualifiers scheduled for the 2020 Mississippi Amateur. Registration is open to the first 120 players that register.

Format: Field size is limited to 120 players. The tournament is scheduled for 72 holes of individual stroke play with a cut to the low 60 plus ties after 36 holes of play. If conditions necessitate the championship being shortened, it will be done at the conclusion of a stipulated round.
Practice Round: Practice rounds are available on Wednesday, June 24th from 8:00AM - 11:00AM & 1:00PM - Close at a rate of $50 + tax per player. Please contact Annandale Golf Club to schedule practice rounds. Players wishing to play their Practice Round on Tuesday, June 23rd may do so at the avaiilability of the club. Please note that only one(1) Practice Round per players is permitted.
Player Registration: There will be Player Registration on Wednesday, June 24th from 10:00AM - 5:00PM outside of the golf shop. Please note that the MGA will sanitize all player gifts 72hrs prior to player registration and will have staff/volunteers at the registration table wearing proper PPE to hand out tee gifts. Players will need to register in order to receive their tee gift. Players who do not receive their tee gifts prior to the start of the Championship will receive them from an MGA staff member following Round 1 play.
Player Food & Beverage: Annandale Golf Club will have lunch items available for purchase during the Practice Round and Tournament Days on the outdoor back patio area. Players are asked to use credit card only when making purchases. There will be a beverage cart available for drink purchases on course.
Players will be provided lunch on Friday of the Championship through Burgers & Blues who will have a food truck on-site from 10:00AM - 3:00PM. Spectators can also purchase food through the food truck on Friday.
Clubhouse Access: Due to COVID19 the MGA is asking that all players remain outside of the clubhouse when at all possible. Bathroom facilities and Food & Beverage purchases will be open and allowed but the MGA encourages each player to exit outside of the clubhouse as soon as possible to help alleviate social gathering and remain socially distant.
Cart Fees: All cart and green fees are included in the tournament entry fee.
Spectator Carts: Spectator carts will not be permitted during this championship with the exception of a spectator who can provide an issued and active Handicap Permit. Final decision will be made by the MGA Staff and also the availability of carts at the host facility.
Caddies: Caddies are permitted during the championship. Players are responsible for supplying their own caddie. Caddies may ride in golf carts if it adheres to the MGA cart policy and there is an available seat. * MGA Cart Policy - there will be a maximum of 2 carts per group and 2 individuals per cart. *
Pairings: Pairings for the opening round will be released and updated on the MGA website by Monday, June 22nd. Pairings will also be included in the Player Information that will be emailed to each player by Monday, June 22nd.
Electronic Measuring Devices: Electronic devices that measure distance only are permitted for this championship.
USGA Groove Condition of Competition (Not in Effect): The USGA groove rules effective January 1, 2010 are NOT in effect for this competition.
Withdrawal Policy: In the event of a tournament withdraw; the player must notify the Mississippi Golf Association Office at 601-939-1131. If withdraw is made prior to tournament deadline, the player may receive a refund regardless of reason less a $25 administrative fee. For a withdraw made after the entry deadline, the player WILL NOT receive a refund unless the player has experienced a sudden illness or injury, a signed Doctor's note is provided, and only if the Mississippi Golf Association is notified prior to the first round of the tournament. Sanderson Farms Exemption: The champion of the 2020 Mississippi Amateur will earn an exemption into the 2020 Sanderson Farms Championship to be held at Country Club of Jackson.
