UTAH SENIOR STATE AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

August 24-26, 2020

ENTRY FEE

$155 per player.

$65 for qualifying.
$90 to advance to championship.

FORMAT

Match Play within divisions. The draw for match play will be based on the lowest handicap differential that was posted for a player's qualifying round for players who advanced. Net players will be seeded on lowest net differentials. Ties in differentials will be decided by lot. The seeding will be released on Aug 21st.

FIELD SIZE

Championship - 32 Players, Super Senior - 16 Players, Net - 16 Players, Women - 8 Players.

ELIGIBILITY

All UGA members who are 50 years of age or older as of the first day of the match play competition are eligible to compete. Players who wish to compete in the Super-Senior Division must be 65 years of age or older as of the first day of the match play competition.

STARTING TIMES

Starting times will be e-mailed to players after the registration deadline has passed.

PRACTICE ROUNDS

The UGA will be providing a complimentary practice round at Wasatch Mountain Golf Course. You may call the golf shop to make a tee time. Players are responsible for cart fees during the practice rounds if you choose to use one.

FLIGHT INFORMATION

The tournament will have a Championship Division (age 50+, gross only), a Super-Senior Division (age 65+, gross only), a Net Division (age 50+, net only), and a Women's Championship Division (age 50+, gross only). Players must designate on their entry if they choose to play in the Championship, Super-Senior, Net, or Women's Championship. The best Handicap Index effective from the last 6 months will be used for course handicap calculation for the Net Division for qualifiers and the championship.

All players must qualify. To find more information, or to sign up for a qualifier, please return to the championship schedule and select a qualifier.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
Day 1 (AM) – Round of 32 (Championship); Round of 16 (Super Senior, Net), Quarterfinals (Women)
Day 1 (PM) – Round of 16 (Men's Championship Division only)
Day 2 (AM) – Quarter-Finals (Men's Divisions). Semi-Finals (Women's Division)
Day 2 (PM) – Semi-Finals (All Men's Divisions)
Day 3 (AM) – Finals (All Divisions)

REFUNDS AND WITHDRAWALS

If a player withdraws prior to the registration deadline the player will receive a refund minus a $20 cancellation fee. After the deadline, the player will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be issued if a player withdraws/no-shows on the day of the event. A business day starts at 12:01 am of that day. In team competitions, if a player needs a substitute for his original partner after the field has closed; he must arrange to get the substitute. Any substitute must meet all eligibility requirements of the specified competition. The UGA must be notified of any substitutions prior to the start of the tournament.
