Eligibility
Male amateurs regardless of age or affiliation.
Entry Fee and Deadline
$135. Deadline for entry is Friday, August 21st at 11:59 pm.
Field is limited to 84 players.
Format
36 holes of individual stroke play with three age divisions. Champion to be determined in each division. The event may be shortened to 18 holes if weather cancels either round. Gift certificates from the host club will be awarded in amounts to be determined based on the number of total entries within each division.
Note: The Committee reserves the right to adjust the Playing Handicap of golfers who make exceptional scores as defined by the World Handicap System for subsequent rounds in multi-day events.
Divisions
Three age divisions:
- Open (any age, gross scoring only)
- Masters (at least 35 years old as of August 29, 2020; gross & net scoring)
- Senior (at least 50 years old as of August 29, 2020; gross & net scoring)
Pairings and Order of Play
Round One Order of Play (by division): Determined by course starting schedule
Round Two Order of Play (by division): Masters, Senior, Open
Course Set-Up
The golf course will be set-up at approximately:
- 6,900 yards (Open Division)
- 6,400 yards (Masters Division)
- 6,400 yards (Senior Division)
Players Lunch
Player lunches will NOT be provided this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. We will instead be providing golf carts for both rounds of the championship as part of the entry fee.
Practice Round
Please contact the golf shop at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course at to arrange a practice round. Cost is set by the host course.
Clubhouse and Practice Facilities
Clubhouse and practice facilities open one hour prior to the first starting time. Practice facilities are for tournament contestants use only.
Defending Champions
Topeka's Andrew Beckler claimed his second championship title of the 2019 season at the High Plains Amateur at Mariah Hills Golf Course in Dodge City.
In the Master's Division, Salina's Sean Robertson continued his winning ways with another championship.
In the Senior Division, Nashville's John Bailey also added to his longstanding tournament winning ways.
Carts, Spectators and Caddies
Carts will be provided as part of your entry fee for the 2020 championship. Only two carts are allowed per starting time. Caddies are NOT allowed due to COVID-19 policies. Spectator carts will be available at the discretion and fee set by the host course.

Registration
There will be no registration at this event. You are responsible to be at your assigned starting tee at least five (5) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time. This will give you adequate time to receive instructions and information from the Starter.
Score Posting
Scores from each round of this championship will be posted to the GHIN Handicap System.

Method of Payments
Buffalo Dunes Golf Course accepts cash or credit card for all purchases.
When Competition is Final
The competition is final when the trophy has been presented to the winner or, in the absence of a prize ceremony, when all scores have been approved by the committee. The Result of a match is final when the Committee has approved the result as posted on the public scoreboard.
