2020 KPGA Match Play Championship(s)

All players will be seeded by their 2019 Player of the Year results and current rankings from the 2020 season as of, Tuesday, June 9th. The criteria for these rankings will be the following:

 

• Points awarded at these tournaments will be added to the 2019 rankings to determine the seeding process ........
  • KPGA Spring Preview
  • KPGA Stableford Championship
  • Golf House Kentucky Summer Classic
  • KPGA Pro-Pro Series Kick-Off
  • KPGA Pro-Senior Championship
  • KPGA Pro-Assistant/Pro-Pro Team
  • KPGA Pro-Am @ Big Spring CC

 

• Players who have not accumulated POY points from either the 2019 or 2020 KPGA calendar of events will be assigned their seed by the KPGA Tournament Committee. That process will include previous or current rankings on points list from former section affiliations. The committee will also consider the player's known playing abilities, if applicable. If a player is changing divisions (Assistants to Members / Members to Seniors), previous points rankings will be considered for seed placement. 

 

• Match Play Brackets will be determined and announced during the week of June 8-12 and players notified of each match's deadline. Results will be returned to the KPGA Tournament Director no more than 72 hours after completion by email, phone message or text. If a match is not completed by the deadline, players will have the option to determine the winner by concession or by draw.
   
• Member Division quarter-finals, semi-finals matches are schedule for Monday, October 19th. All divisions final matches are schedule for Tuesday, October 20th. Lexington Country Club will host all of these matches. Times will be announced at a later date.
