VSGA Senior Amateur Qualifying
ELIGIBILITY
Open to VSGA members who will be 50 years of age by August 11, 2020. Participants must hold an active GHIN number issued by a licensed VSGA Member Club in good standing and meet the USGA Rules of Amateur Status. ENTRY FEES/DEADLINES
Qualifying
Players competing in a qualifier are required to submit an entry form with the entry fee of $105 by Monday, July 20, 2020. The $105 qualifying fee includes the mandatory course fee at the qualifier. $75 of the qualifying fee is applied to the championship entry fee for successful qualifiers. The VSGA will also negotiate a discounted practice round fee with the host clubs.
Successful Qualifiers
Those who successfully qualify are required to pay the entry balance of $185 by August 7, 2020 which includes all course fees (including cart) and lunch for all rounds of competition. In addition, the VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice round fee with the host club.
Exempt Players
Exempt players are required to submit an entry form with the entry fee of $260 by Monday, July 20, 2020. Entry fee includes all course fees (including cart) and lunch for all rounds of competition. In addition, the VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice round fee with the host club.
FORMAT
Qualifying
All non-exempt players must qualify to play in the championship. A player may only compete in one qualifier and each qualifier will be 18-holes of stroke play. Sites will be filled on a first come, first served basis. The number of qualifying spots available at each qualifier will be determined based on participation and will be announced on-site.
Championship Proper - 84 Players (includes all qualifiers and exempt players)
August 11-12 – Stroke play qualifying (18 holes per day); the low 32 players advance to match play
August 13 – Rounds One and Two of match play
August 14 – Quarterfinal and Semifinal matches
August 15 – 18-hole match play final

PRIZES
The Champion, Finalist and Semifinalists receive gift certificates and trophies. All match play qualifiers will receive a gift certificate. All players that qualify for the Championship will receive a gift. The on-site qualifying medalist(s) will receive a VSGA medal.

Senior State Open Qualifying

ENTRY FEE/METHOD OF PAYMENT/DEADLINE
Qualifiers
All non-exempt amateurs will be required to pay a qualifier fee of $105 by Monday, July 20, 2020. TIES/PRIZES
The overall Champion will be the individual with the lowest score. A tie for the overall Champion will be determined by a sudden death playoff, all other ties will split prizes equally. The Senior Open of Virginia Champion will have his name engraved on the Harry W. Easterly, Jr. Trophy.
