2020 RDGA District Championship

START TIMES: Beginning at 7:00 am (off #1 tee only) in Rounds 1 & 2, 12:30 pm Round 3
ENTRY FEE: $250

FORMAT: The RDGA District Championship John H. Ryan Jr. Memorial features 54 holes of scratch stroke play competition over three days. There will be no organized Practice Round, but rather players may organize and play their own practice round (see schedule for availablity). Tee times each day begin at 7:00 am, with the first two rounds featuring tee times off No. 1 only. The final day tee times begin at 12:30 pm. Field will be paired in threesomes all days. Following two rounds of play, the field will be cut to the low 40 players and ties. Players will compete from the RDGA Black Tees (approximately 6,800 yards), with prizes awarded to all players who make the cut. Ties for first will result in a sudden death playoff to determine the champion.
ABOUT: The premier Championship for Rochester-area amateurs is named in honor of the late John H. Ryan Jr., who grew up in the RDGA junior and amateur ranks, winning the District Junior Championship once and back-to-back District Championships in 1981 and 1982 before losing his life to a boating accident in 1982. Now in it's 90th year, this year's District Champion will receive an invitation into the 2021 Monroe Invitational and all players who make the 36-hole cut will be exempt from qualifying for the 2021 RDGA District Championship at Oak Hill Country Club. Take out lunch will be provided to contestants on each day of the Championship.
