Host Facility: Lake Valley Golf Club

 

Championship Date: Monday, September 28

 

Registration Window: August 12 - September 20. Registration Opens at 8:00am. 

 

Entry Fee: $380 per team. 

NOTE: A women’s club or golf facility (course) may assist their team with the following expenses: entry fee, transportation, lodging, meals, practice round green fees and cart fees. This is permissible under the rules of Amateur status.

 

Field Size: 26 teams (104 entrants)

Note: Only one team per CGA Women’s 18 hole member club is eligible to enter. 

Note: Tournament is filled on a first come, first served basis using the registration date and time. If a tournament is oversubscribed, a wait list will be maintained in case of cancellation.

Format: ABCD Team Stroke Play – The gross score for all four team members are combined for the team score. The team who plays the round in the fewest number of combined strokes is the winner. Each team is paired together, with the A player designated as each team’s captain and serving as the official score keeper for the team.  All four members of the team must be members of the same CGA women’s 18 hole member club. Handicap indexes will be verified based on the September 21 revision. 

 

Handicap Index Details: Each team must consist of one player from each of the following four handicap index ranges: A) up to 12.0 B) 10.0-20.0 C) 18.0-28.0 and D)26.0-36.0. Team members are allowed to play down a handicap range eg. (B player playing as an A player) but are not allowed to play up a handicap range eg. (A player playing as a B player).

Cart/Caddies: Carts are included in the entry. Caddies are not allowed.

COVID Note: The cart policy for this facility is allowing double rider during the championship. Two carts will be allocated per team. Due to COVID-19 this is subject to change. 

 

Prizes: Merchandise gift certificates are awarded for the top gross finishes. Ties for the low gross team, will be determined by matching cards. For all other ties, prize money is combined and divided equally among tied teams. The winning team will also receive a trophy as well as a travelling trophy to house at home club for a year.

COVID NOTE: Due to a tee time start, limiting congregation and roughly 50% of the field recieving a prize payout, gift certificates for winning teams will not be handed out the day of the event. Players will need to return to the club at a later date if they would like to use gift certificates, which will be good through 12/31/2020. 

COVID NOTE: Due to this event switching to tee times, ties for Low Gross Team will be determined by USGA matching cards.

COVID NOTE: Championship trophies will not be handed out the day of the event. They will be delivered to winning teams home club after the Championship. 

 

Practice Round Information: Tee times are subject to availability, can be by calling the golf shop at 303-444-2114 ext 201. When making a tee time, identify yourself as a CGA Club Team participant to receive the pricing. Availability: Monday - Thursday. Price: $54 course, $20 cart, range included. Availabilty: Friday - Sunday AFTER 1pm only. Price: $66 course, $20 cart, range included.

Food & Beverage: A boxed lunch will provided, included in entry.
