Boys may also attempt to qualify for the 71st Carolinas Junior Boys’ Championship using their 18-hole stroke play qualifying score on Tuesday. The qualifier costs $35 and is an additional option that may be chosen at time of registration. This an option, not a requirement.
The South Carolina Junior Match Play Championship crowns the best junior boys and girls player in South Carolina. The championship format is match play, with an 18 hole of stroke play qualifier to determine seeding. The top 64 boys and top 16 girls will advance to match play. Entry is open to any male or female amateur golfer who has not reached their 19th birthday as of July 10, who has not started college, is a legal resident of South Carolina, is a member in good standing of a club which is a member of the Carolinas Golf Association and has a current USGA Handicap Index® that does not exceed 18.4.
