2018 WPGA Men’s & Women’s Net Championships

The competition is 18 holes. The field is 16 contestants in the Net Championship and 11 in the Women’s Net Championship. Additional information will be distributed on the starting tee. The championship will be a shotgun start begining at 9:00 AM. Please note the schedule below. The entry fee includes golf, cart fee, practice range fee, lunch, trophies to the winners and merchandise prizes. The May 15, 2019 revision will be used for the competitor's Handicap Index based. There will be two flights for the Men's Net Championship and one flight for the Women's Net Championship. All players will compete for the Richard Falchetti Trophy for the overall Net Championship.
There are 8 teams competing in the Net Team Championship.

After Golf: Lunch & Awards Ceremony
Format: 18 holes of Net Stableford Stroke Play. Please see Section 9-4b (viii), Stableford Competition, of the USGA Handicap System. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. Contestants in the Men’s Championship will compete for the two Flight Championships and the Overall Net Championship. Contestants in the Women’s Net Championship will compete for flight championships ad the Overall Net Championship. Course Handicaps will be adjusted according to Section 3-5 of the USGA Handicap System for players competing from different sets of tees. In the event of a tie for first place in any championship, the winner will be determined in accordance with Section 9-6(iii), Play-off Not Feasbile; Matching Scorecards, of the USGA Handicap System, except for the Richard Falchetti Trophy for Overall Champion which will be decided by a hole-by-hole playoff on holes determined by the committee.
Tee Markers: All players in the Net Championship will compete from the BLUE WPGA tee markers (approximately 6,000 yards), and all players in the Women’s Net Championship will play from the WHITE WPGA tee markers (approximately 5,100 yards).
Transportation/Caddies: Automotive transportation is permitted for the championship. Players may bring their own caddies if they choose. Diamond Run does not have caddies available. Cart fees are included in the entry fee and no refunds are issued to players who choose to walk. Caddies must walk in performance of their duties. No push carts are permitted for the
competition.
Food: The WPGA provides water on the course and lunch for players only. Caddies and spectators may purchase lunch at their own expense. All other food and beverage charges are the responsibility of the player.
Footwear: METAL CLEATS ARE PROHIBITED. THE PENALTY IS DISQUALIFICATION.

Pace of Play: The maximum allowable time will be four hours and twenty minutes (4:20). A pace of play checkpoint system will be in place for the competition. The Pace of Play Policy can be found HERE.
Evacuation Plan: In the event of a suspension of play for a dangerous situation, all others players should return immediately to the clubhouse.
Note: A suspension for a dangerous situation will be signaled by one prolonged air horn note. All other types of suspension will be signaled by three consecutive air horn notes, repeated. Resumption of play will be signaled by two short air horn notes, repeated.
Spectator Info: No spectator carts will be permitted for the competition without pre-approved ADA verification. Please contact the WPGA office for ADA guidelines. ADA carts are based on availability.
