Historical Context of the Tournament: This four-ball match-play tournament originated in 1953. Renamed in 1981, in honor of Mildred Gardinor Prunaret of Brae Burn Country Club. Mrs. Prunaret, the Captain of the 1960 US Curtis Cup Team has many accomplishments, including 1949-50 Senior Women’s Golf Association Champion. By appointment of her Royal Highness, the Queen of England, Mrs. Prunaret also received many honorary memberships.

Wednesday October 23 - 4th Match 9:30 a.m. Shotgun - 5th Match 12:15 p.m. Shotgun
Eligibility: Two women team event, open to Mass Golf members with handicap indices up to 21.0
Format: Round Robin four-ball match play, each team will play five 9-hole matches (over 2 days), against the other teams in their flight (score determined by the best net ball of each team).
Flights: Arranged according to handicap index totals, up to 6 teams in each flight. All flights play at 95% of course handicap, off the lowest handicap. No consolation flights (you will play both Day 1 & 2).
Day 1: Three 9-hole matches (total 27 holes of play).
Day 2: Two 9-hole matches (total 18 holes of play).
Points are accumulated for each hole: 1 point for a hole won; 1/2 point for a tie and 0 points for a loss.
Rules of Play: The 2019 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the Mass Golf Hard Card. The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the tournament site. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the Conditions of the Competition.

Golf Carts: Golf carts are included in the Championship entry fee. Players are strongly encouraged to use golf carts during the tournament round. Walking & push carts are permitted at the host clubs’ discretion.
Tees: Play will be from the Mass Golf RED TEE markers, at approximately 5423 yards.
Practice Facilities: There is a Driving Range with complimentary balls which will open at 7:30 am.
Rest Rooms: Located in the Club House, the 6th &13th Tee.
Food & Beverage Services: The Club House will open at 8:00 am, with complimentary coffee & pastries. The 19th Hole snack bar will open at 10:30 (snacks & drinks for purchase) Cash & Credit accepted.
Day one - A box lunch will be provided by Mass Golf for all competitors after the first match.
Day two - A buffet lunch will be provided by Mass Golf for all competitors upon completion of the event.
On-Course Drinking Water: Waters will be in each golf cart before you arrive. There are also coolers filled with waters located on the course.
Awards: Trophy engraved with the names of the team that has the most overall points. Merchandise certificates (gross & net) will be awarded and are only redeemable at the host site.
