Purpose & History: Tournament honors the memory of Dolly Sullivan, a long-time supporter of women’s golf and the niece of Francis Ouimet. This annual fundraising tournament and its proceeds benefit the WGAM Jr. Scholarship Fund, Inc., Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund and the WGAM/Ouimet Dolly Sullivan Restricted Fund. The tournament was first held at The Country Club of Halifax in 1982 and has been conducted by Mass Golf/WGAM since 1994.
Format: Teams of four women from the same club, playing at 90% of their handicap, in a best ball of four format.
A team's best ball gross and net score must be recorded on the scorecard for each individual hole. The score must be recorded so that the staff knows who to attribute each score to. If a player picks up on a hole – which is allowed as it is a best ball event –Please record an X. In fact, for pace of play, we encourage players to pick up if they want to. Mass Golf will put in the ESC score and post all individual scores as away scores.
Rules of Play: The 2019 Rules of Golf are in effect and are supplemented by the Mass Golf Hard Card. The Committee will provide any additional Local Rules needed at the tournament site. It is the individual player’s responsibility to know the Conditions of the Competition.
