Second Girls' Junior Match Play Invitational

This notice serves as confirmation for the Second Girls' Junior Match Play Invitational on Monday, July 8 & Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Latrobe Country Club in Ligonier, PA.
Format: Three (3) rounds of Match Play, single elimination. Play is governed by the USGA Rules of Golf and any Local Rules and Conditions distributed prior to play.
The field is 8 contestants. There will be 4 matches in the afternoon on Day 1. The semi-final matches will be played in the morning of Day 2 and the final match will be played in the afternoon.
Note to Contestants, Parents & Guardians: Please check with the WPGA where cell phone use is authorized.
Spectator Information: No spectator carts will be permitted for the competition without pre-approved ADA verification. Please contact the WPGA office for ADA guidelines.
Tee Markers: All play is from the Red tee markers. Latrobe Country Club will play at roughly 5,400 yards for the competition.
Distance Measuring Devices are permitted for the qualifying round.
Pace of Play: The maximum allowable time will be three hours and forty minutes (3:40). A checkpoint system will be in place for the competition.
Practice: Practice rounds are not available. The practice range will open at 7:30 AM each morning of the competition.
Transportation/Caddies: A parent, stepparent, or guardian may not serve as a caddie. Walking is required. Latrobe CC does not offer caddies. Players may bring their own caddies. Caddies must walk in performance of their duties. Players may use push trolleys during the competition.
Food: The WPGA provides lunch between rounds each day of the competition for contestants only. Lunch will be availabe at 12:00 PM on Day 1. Please note that the kitchen will be closed on Monday, July 8. Boxed lunches will be available. Please plan accordingly.
Footwear: Metal cleats are prohibited under penalty of disqualification.
Lodging: Lodging of various price ranges can be found in the Greensburg and Ligonier areas.
Evacuation Plan: In the event of a suspension of play for a dangerous situation, players are to return to the club house immediately. The WPGA will assist in returning players to the club house.
Note: A suspension for a dangerous situation will be signaled by one prolonged air horn note. All other types of suspension will be signaled by three consecutive air horn notes, repeated. Resumption of play will be signaled by two short air horn notes, repeated.
