Barbasol Championship Pre-Qualifier Information
The Barbasol Championship Pre-Qualifier will be contested Tuesday, July 9th, 2019 at Cherry Blossom Golf Club (Georgetown, KY). The format will be 18-holes of stroke play with the low 40 scores plus ties advancing to the Open Qualifier.
All amateur and professional applicants must pre-qualify, except the following competitors who are exempt from pre-qualifying: 2018- 2019 Season PGA TOUR member; Current Web.com Tour members, Current Champions Tour regular members, three (3) exemptions from the local PGA Section, and Former PGA TOUR Members from 2016-2018.
The cost of the qualifier is $200 per player. Note: Successful Pre-Qualifying Professionals and Amateurs will be required to pay an additional $250 entry fee prior to teeing off in the Open Qualifying. A $100 fee will be required for current members of PGA TOUR Canada, PGA TOUR Latinoamérica, and PGA Tour China.
The 2019 Barbasol Championship Pre-Qualifier will be played under the Kentucky Section PGA Hard Card. Players are encouraged to review the 2019 PGA Tour Hard Card before entering the Pre-Qualifier to ensure they will be able to conform to the PGA Tour Hardcard if they advance to the Open Qualifier on Monday, July 15, 2019.

Eligibility:
All Professionals and any Amateur with a handicap index when applied to the qualifying course slope will generate a handicap of two (2) or less.
The PGA TOUR reserves the right to verify the handicap index of amateurs and to refuse anyone not meeting the requirements.
Dress Code:
While on the host facility property, players shall present a neat appearance in both clothing and personal grooming. Blue jeans, shorts, cutoffs, T-shirts or shirts with no collar shall not be worn. PANTS ARE REQUIRED TO BE WORN BY PROFESSIONALS AND AMATEURS.
Golf Cars/Caddies:
Golf cars are availble for purchase on a first come first serve basis through the golf shop for the Barbasol Championship Pre-Qualifier only.
Caddies may not ride in any cart at any time, a player or caddie must transport the players clubs. Players may carry their clubs, use a push cart, or employ a caddie.
ALL competitors MUST walk during the Barbasol Championship Open Qualifier.
CADDIES
Players are not required to have a caddie. Caddies are not permitted to walk on the competition course putting greens the day(s) of the Open Qualifying competition except during the stipulated round when accompanying their player.
**Anyone seeking a golf cart due to a disability defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) should contact the PGA TOUR Competition Department at (904) 285-3700 to obtain information on procedures for submitting such requests. All such request due to temporary injuries or impairments that do not qualify as a “disability” under the ADA will not be granted.

Refunds:
Any player that enters the tournament and has to withdraw must do so BEFORE the July 5th (5:00 PM) entry deadline to be eligible for a 90% refund of the entry fee. Any player withdrawing AFTER the entry deadline will not be eligible for a refund unless the reason for the withdraw meets the Kentucky Section PGA established criteria (substantiated medical or death in family reasons only). In this case, the player that withdraws must submit a written request to the attention of the Tournament Committee, including the reason for the withdraw. The committee will determine whether the player is entitled to a 90% refund. The written request must be received within 10 days of the withdraw.
