ELIGIBILITY

Open to VSGA Members who will be at least 50 years old by May 29, 2019. Participants must hold an active GHIN number issued by a licensed VSGA Member Club in good standing and meet the USGA Rules of Amateur Status. ENTRY FEES/DEADLINES

Qualifiers

Sides (two players) competing in qualifiers are required to submit an entry form with the entry fee of $150 by Monday, April 22, 2019. The $150 qualifying fee does not include the mandatory course fee at the qualifier, which must be paid to the host club prior to the qualifying round.  However, the qualifying fee is applied to the championship entry fee for successful qualifiers.  The VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice round fee with the host clubs.

Successful Qualifiers

Sides who successfully qualify must pay the entry balance of $240 by May 13, 2019 which includes all course fees (including cart) and lunch for all rounds of competition.  In addition, the VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice round fee with Wintergreen Resort.

Exempt Sides

Exempt sides are required to submit an entry form with the entry fee of $390 by Monday, April 22, 2019. The entry fee includes all course fees (including cart) and lunch for all rounds of competition.  In addition, the VSGA will negotiate a discounted practice round fee with Wintergreen Resort.

FORMAT

Qualifying

All non-exempt sides must qualify to play in the championship. A side may only compete in one qualifier. There will be six qualifiers (see below) and each qualifier will be 18 holes of four-ball stroke play. Sites will be filled on a first come, first served basis. The number of qualifying spots available at each qualifier will be determined based on participation and will be announced on-site. Qualified sides may not switch players.

Championship Proper - 44 sides (includes all qualifiers and exempt sides)

36-hole four-ball stroke play competition (18 holes per day).

PRIZES

The Champions will receive trophies and gift certificates.  Gift certificates will be awarded to additional sides. All players that qualify for the Championship will receive a gift.
