Championship Dates: Tuesday, June 4 - Thursday, June 6

 

Registration Window: March 15 -  May 23

 

Entry Fee: $380 per team 

 

Field Size: 104 teams / 208 competitors. 

Note: Championship is filled on a first come, first served basis using the registration date and time. If a Championship is oversubscribed, a wait list will be maintained in case of cancellation.

 

Format: 4- Ball Matchplay – Each team is guaranteed two days of golf. Partners play their ball against the better ball of the other team. Teams are flighted according to combined handicap index (based on the May 15 revision) with approximately eight teams per flight. Each flight has a consolation bracket for teams eliminated in the first round matches. All teams will play each course June 4-5 with final matches for the day 2 winners being played at Perry Park CC on June 6. Teams forfeiting their first match will not be eligible to compete in consolation round matches. Matches that are tied after 18 holes will be extended to a hole-by-hole playoff to determine a winner.  

 

Handicap Details: 30.0 maximum. It is recommended that the partners play within eight strokes of each other. If the difference between the two handicap indexes is greater than 8, the higher handicap index will be reduced accordingly. 

Note: Because adjustments will be made to the handicap index, there may be more than an eight-stroke difference between the course handicaps. During matches, the course handicaps of all four players will be reduced by the course handicap of the player with the lowest handicap, who shall then play at scratch. The other players are allowed 100% of the difference. All flights play with handicap except championship flight

 

Carts/Caddies: Carts are required, included in the entry. Caddies are not allowed

 

Prizes: Merchandise gift certificates are awarded within each flight to the winners, runners-up and consolation winners. Championship flight winners receive team trophies in addition to merchandise gift certificates.

 

Practice Round Information: 

• Perry Park Practice Rounds – Tee times are subject to availability Wednesday May 22 after 1pm and Thursday May 30 after 12pm only. Tee times can ONLY be made 6 days in advance by calling the pro shop at 303-681-3186. Pricing: $90 including cart and range balls. 
• CC at Woodmoor Practice Rounds – Tee times are subject to availability, can be made 7 days in advance by calling the pro shop at 719-481-2272. When making a tee time, identify yourself as a CGA Mashie participant. Pricing: Monday - Thursday after 11am: $50 including cart. Friday - Sunday after 12pm: $65 including cart.

 

Starting Times: Tee times beginning at 8:00am at each course.

Food & Beverage: Lunch will be provided each day following play, included in entry. 

 

Score Posting: Scores from match play or four-ball events will not be posted by the CGA. The player may post their own score at the end of a four-ball or match play round. The Tournament Director will always provide the applicable slope/rating for posting purposes at the end of each four-ball or match play round.
