Women's Championship Division - $135

Includes golf Sunday & Monday, cart, driving range,

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Amateur women golfers.
  • Must have an active RDGA/USGA Handicap Index.
  • This is a scratch event. If you wish to play in the one-day

           Net tournament within this event please register for the

           Women's Open.

  • Each foursome will recieve a "GGID" on their scorecard, giving you access to our new mobile scoring feature.

Event Format

 

Championship Division

  • Play Sunday will be from the Stafford Green Tees - (Approximately 5,632 Yards)
    • Play Monday will be played from the Stafford Green Tees - (5,632 yards)
  • The format will be 36 holes (18 per day) stroke play.  
  • Lowest Gross Score over the 2 days will win the Championship Division.
  • Prizes will be awarded to approximately 1/3 of the Championship Division.  Prizes will be in the form of pro shop gift certificates.  
  • Tie for 1st place will result in sudden-death playoff.

 

**You are registering for the Championship Division of the Women's Open.  This Flight is a 36 hole, two-day event with first round Sunday and second round Monday alongside the Regular Flights of the Women's Open to a grand finale for all!

 

Schedule of Events

Sunday (Championship Division 1st round only)

  • 11:30am - Registration, lunch at snack bar and practice range available prior to round. 
  • 1:00pm - Tee times begin off #1 tee.  All play off the Stafford Green Tees - 5,632 yards.
  • Following play scoring and hors d'oeuvres will be help in Main Bar Room.

 

Monday (Championship Division Round 2 and Women's Open)

  • 11:30am - Registration, boxed lunches, and practice range are made available
  • 1:00pm - Shotgun Start - Championship Division play will be off the Stafford Green Tees - 5,632 yards,
    Women's Open will play from the Stafford Green - Yellow Tees - 5,157 yards.
  • 6:00 pm - Awards ceremony - including the 2019 RDGA "Leading The Way" award presentation to Shirley Durham  - accompanied with an included dinner following the round. For those who are only interested in attending the dinner and awards ceremony for $40, please contact the RDGA office at 585-292-5950.

 

Cart Policy

Carts are encouraged but not mandatory for the Championship Division

Cost of cart is included in entry fee.

 

Caddies

Caddies are allowed for Championship Division

Note:  Caddies are allowed to ride/drive in a cart in the tournament, but will be required to pay the cart fee.

 

Practice Round

Practice rounds are available to all players at a special rate of $60 which includes cart.  To arrange for a practice round you must call the proshop to arrange for a tee time when they have availability.  The number is 585-343-9281.

 

Pairings

  • Tee times will be provided approximately a week before the event
  • Players will be paired randomly (Unless the RDGA office recieves special requests)

 

Range

The practice range will be open both days to players beginning at 11:30am and is included in the entry fee.

 

Food Services

Sunday (Championship Division)

 

  • Lunch provided from snack bar for all players prior to teeing off consisting of Hotdog or Hamburger, chips and a drink of choice, as well as turning snack and another drink of choice.  
  • Scoring and Hors D'oeuvres following play in Main Bar Room.
  • Cash Bar available.

 

Monday (Regular and Championship Division)

  • Lunch TBA
  • Dinner will be served in the clubhouse, menu TBA.
  • Cash Bar will be available.
  • *Please make sure to call or email the RDGA staff if there are any dietary restrictions*

 

Score Posting

Competitor is responsible to post score.  Score Type: Tournament.

Refund Policy

Refunds of tournament entry fees will be made in accordance with the following rules:

  1. If the player withdraws BEFORE the registration deadline, he/she will be granted a refund of the full entry, minus the $10.00 credit card processing fee. (The refund will be credited back to the players card).

 

  1. If the player withdraws from a tournament AFTER the registration closes, no refund will be granted.

 

RDGA Code of Conduct

The Rochester District Golf Association (RDGA) and its member clubs believe that participation in RDGA amateur events is a privilege that carries responsibilities.  In order to enter an RDGA event, a player must be an amateur golfer and be a member in good standing at an RDGA member club.  He or she must adhere to all RDGA tournament requirements, including possession of a USGA Handicap Index, age and/or gender for selected events, appropriate golf attire, mandatory use of riding carts at selected events, and obey local host club rules that may apply to players during a competition.

 

The most recent edition of the USGA Rules of Golf will govern all play in RDGA events, along with the RDGA Conditions of Competition and any Local Rules that may be put into effect for selected events.  All players must familiarize themselves with the provisions of Rule 1.2 of the USGA Rules of Golf and conduct themselves accordingly, i.e. by playing in the spirit of the game, acting with integrity, showing consideration for others, and taking good care of the golf course, as those concepts are described in Rule 1.2a.

 

In accordance with Rule 1.2b of the USGA Rules of Golf, the RDGA has adopted this Code of Conduct to apply to all players in RDGA events.  In the discretion of the RDGA Rules Committee, a player may receive the General Penalty (loss of hole in match play or 2 strokes in stroke play) for conduct that breaches this Code.  A penalty of Disqualification may be applied for any serious misconduct that occurs.  Examples of “serious misconduct” include, but are not limited to:  deliberately damaging a putting green, deliberately moving tee markers or boundary stakes, deliberately distracting other players, refusing to follow the Rules of Golf, repeated use of vulgar or offensive language, or showing disrespect to a Rules Official.
