  • Male aged 55 & Older
    Female aged 50 & Older
  • Must have a RDGA/USGA Handicap Index.
  • Players of all abilities are welcome.

USGA Tournament Management Live Scoring:

  • Before your arrival we please ask that you download the free "USGA Tournament Management" app onto your mobile device.
  • Each foursome will recieve a "GGID" on their scorecard, giving you access to our new mobile scoring feature.
  • Each foursome will then designate one person to post the hole by hole scores for the entire group.

Event Format

Competition will be 18 holes of stroke play, Two Person Best Ball format.  Both players tee off and play each hole individually.   Then the team records the one best score on the hole as their team score.  

 

The Course Handicap of the members of a side (team) may not differ by more then 8 strokes.

 

Men:

  • Men's Teams in the Championship Division playing for the exemption will play from the Greystone Men's Blue Tee (6,594 yards) and will be played at scratch (no handicaps).
  • All other men's teams not playing in Championship Division and not playing for the exemption will play from the Greystone Men's White Tee (6,110 yards).  This will be a Net format and will be played at 90% of each player's course handicap. 
     

Women:

  • Women's Division will have a Low Net Winner and Low Gross Winner.
  • The Net portion will of the Women's Division will be played at 95% of each player's course handicap.
  • Women will play from the Greystone Women's Gold Tee (5,277 yards)

 

Schedule of Events

  • Player Registration and driving range opens at 9:30 AM
  • Shotgun Start at 11:00 AM 
  • Scoring and Awards immediately following play

 

Cart Policy

All contestants must use motorized carts.

 

Pairings

  • Please register with your desired team member
  • Tee times will be provided approximately a week before the event
  • Teams will be paired by like playing abilities and within flights

 

Range

The practice range will be open to all players beginning at 9:30 AM and is included in the entry fee.

 

Food Services

  • There is no arranged lunch so please plan accordingly.
  • There will be hors d'ouevres served following play, which are included in the entry fee. 
  • A cash bar will be made available.

 

Practice Round

There is no formal practice round scheduled.  

 

Prizes

Men:

  • Overall winning team plus ties (Championship Division - Blue Tee) earns an exemption to the 2019 RDGA District Championship.
  • All ties in each flight will be combined for awarding of prizes.
  • The RDGA will pay prizes in the form of pro shop certificates to approximately 1/4 of the field.

Women: 

  • Women's Division will have a Net Flight Winner and Gross Flight Winner.
  • The RDGA will pay  to each flight winner and approximately 1/4 of the field in the NET division.
     

All Prizes will be in the form of Greystone gift certificates.

Refund Policy

Refunds of tournament entry fees will be made in accordance with the following rules:

  1. If the player withdraws BEFORE the registration deadline, he/she will be granted a refund of the full entry, minus the $10.00 credit card processing fee. (The refund will be credited back to the players card).

 

  1. If the player withdraws from a tournament AFTER the registration closes, no refund will be granted.

 

RDGA Code of Conduct

The RDGA and its member clubs believe that participation in RDGA amateur events is a privilege that includes responsibilities.

 

Contestants must be amateurs and members in good standing at an RDGA club. They must adhere to all RDGA tournament requirements including Handicap Index, age, gender (for selected events), appropriate golf attire, mandatory use of riding carts at selected events, and local host club rules that apply to players during a competition.

 

USGA Rules will govern all play in RDGA events including Local Rules noted on the Notice to Players at each competition. All players should familiarize themselves with Section I.  Etiquette: Behavior on the Course in the current Rules of Golf book.
