Welcome to the 33rd Senior and 12th Super Senior Men's Amateur Championship
CHAMPIONSHIP DETAILS
Date: September 24-26, 2019
Location: Lake Spanaway Golf Course | Tacoma, Wash.
Eligibility: Entries are open to amateur golfers who: (a) are members in good standing of a WSGA member club; (b) meet the age requirements, and (c) have an active GHIN number and USGA Handicap Index, issued by a WA Golf member club, not exceeding 12.4 at the time of entry.
Age: Senior Championship: Entrants must be 55 years of age or older by September 24, 2019; Super Senior Championship: Entrants must be 65 years of age or older by September 24, 2019.
Handicap Limit: 12.4
Format: 54-hole Individual Stroke Play Competition (gross only). The Senior Amateur and Super Senior Amateur Championships will be run concurrently from a separate set of tees. In the event of a tie for the gross championship, the winner will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole playoff.
Field Limit: Each field will be comprised of the lowest USGA Handicap Indexes at the close of entry, in addition to exemptions, listed on the back of this form. The field limit is 60 for the Senior Men's Amateur and 30 for the Super Senior Men's Amateur. Since both championships will run concurrently, the WSGA reserves the right to increase either field limit to reach a full field of 90.
Entry Fee: $205
Cart Fee: $45 per rider. Includes all three rounds and must be paid during registration. Spectator carts will not be permitted.
Entry Deadline: September 3, 2019 at 4:30 p.m.
Entry Includes: Three rounds of championship play, one hosted practice round, warm up range balls, tee prize, lunch following final round play, Kusak crystal for top finishers, and a merchandise payout ($4,00 based on a full field).
Stroke Limit: Players must return a score within 15 strokes of the course rating in at least one of the rounds. Failure to do so will disqualify the player from entering the WA Golf Senior Men's or Super Senior Men's Amateur for a minimum of one year.
WA Golf Performance Points: Awarded to Champion (60 pts.), Runner-Up (35 pts.), Top-5 (20 pts.), and Top-10 (10 pts.) finishers in the Senior Amateur Championship.
Exemptions:
- Senior Amateur Champion earns an exemption onto the 2019 Senior Amateur Hudson Cup Team being played at Arrowhead Golf Club in Molalla, Ore. on October 17-18, 2019.
- Champions earn an exemption into the 11th Annual WA Golf Senior Champion of Champions to be played at The Home Course in DuPont, Wash. in April of 2020.
- Senior Amateur Champion earns an exemption into the 56th PNGA Senior Men's Amateur Championship to be played in June of 2020. Super Senior Amateur Championship earns an exemption into the 11th PNGA Super Senior Men's Amateur Championship to be played in June of 2020.
- Senior Amateur Champion earns an exemption into the 34th WA Golf Senior Men's Amateur Championship to be played in September of 2020. Super Senior Amateur Championship earns an exemption into the 13th WA Golf Super Senior Men's Amateur Championship to be played in September of 2020.
