CHAMPIONSHIP DETAILS

Date: June 25-26, 2019

 

Location: Sudden Valley Golf & Country Club | Bellingham, Wash.

Eligibility: Entries are open to amateur female golfers who: a) are members in good standing of a WSGA member club; b) meet the age requirements; and c) have an active GHIN number and USGA Handicap Index, issued by a WSGA member club, not exceeding 40.4 at the time of entry.

 

Age: Entrants must be 50 years of age or older in the Senior Amateur Championship and 65 years of age or older in the Super Senior Championship by June 25, 2019.

 

Format: 36-Hole Individual Stroke Play Competition (gross and net). Players will be flighted based on course handicap. In the event of a tie for the gross championship, the winner will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole playoff. The Senior Women's Amateur and Super Senior Women's Amateur Championships will be run concurrently. Each championship will play from a separate set of tees. Both fields will be divided into flights based on course handicap.


Handicap Limit: 40.4 

Field Limit: The field will be comprised of the first 24 senior women and 24 super senior women to submit an entry application. Since both 
championships are conducted concurrently, the WSGA reserves the right to modify the field limits to achieve a full field of 48 players.

 

Entry Fee: $170

 

Cart Fee: $34 per rider. Includes both rounds and must be paid during registration. Spectator carts are not permitted.

Entry Deadline: June 10, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. (PDT)

Entry Includes: Two rounds of championship play, one hosted practice round, warm up range balls, tee prize, lunch following final round play, and Kusak crystal awards for top finishers (gross and net).

WSGA Performance Points:

  • Senior Women's Amateur: Awarded to Champion (35 pts.), Runner-up (20 pts.), and Top-5 (5 pts.) finishers.

 

Exemptions: 

  • Champions earn an exemption into the 11th Annual WSGA Champion of Champions being played at The Home Course in DuPont, WA in April of 2020.
     
  • Senior Amateur Champion earns an exemption into the 21st WSGA Senior Women's Amateur Championship to be played in June of 2020. Super Senior Amateur Champion earns an exemption into the 7th WSGA Super Senior Women's Amateur Championship to be played in June of 2020.
     
  • Senior Amateur Champion earns an exemption into the 35th PNGA Senior Women's Amateur Championship to be played in October of 2020. Super Senior Amateur Champion earns an exemption into the 10th PNGA Super Senior Women's Amateur Championship to be played in October of 2020.
