CHAMPIONSHIP DETAILS

Eligibility: Entries are open to amateur golfers who: (a) are members in good standing of a WSGA Member Club; (b) have an active GHIN number and USGA Handicap Index issued by a WSGA member club; and (c) meet at least one of the following requirements: 

Men's and Senior Men's Eligibility Requirements:

  • Club Champion of a WSGA Member Club (2017 or 2018)
  • Champion of any of the past 5 Men's Champion of Champions (2014-2018)
  • Champion of any of the past 5 Senior Men's Champion of Champions (2014-2018)
  • Champion of a WSGA Championship; excluding the Parent-Child Championship (2018)
  • Champion of any event on the WSGA Men's Performance Points List (2018)
  • Champion of any event on the WSGA Senior Men's Performance Points List (2018)
  • Top-10 on the WSGA Men’s Performance Points List (As of December 31, 2018)
  • Top-5 on the WSGA Senior Men’s Performance Points List (As of December 31, 2018)
  • Top-5 on the WJGA Boys' Performance Points List (As of December 31, 2018)
  • WJGA State Junior Boys Champion (2018)

 

Women's and Senior Women's Eligibility Requirements:

  • Club Champion of a WSGA Member Club (2017 or 2018)
  • Champion of any of the past 5 Women's Champion of Champions (2014-2018)
  • Champion of any of the past 5 Senior Women's Champion of Champions (2014-2018)
  • Champion of a WSGA Championship; excluding Parent-Child Championship (2018)
  • Champion of any event on the WSGA Women's Performance Points List (2018)
  • Champion of any event on the WSGA Senior Women's Performance Points List (2018)
  • Top-5 on the WSGA Women’s Performance Points List (As of December 31, 2018)
  • Top-5 on the WSGA Senior Women’s Performance Points List (As of December 31, 2018)
  • Top-5 on the WJGA Girls' Performance Points List (As of December 31, 2018)
  • WJGA State Junior Girls Champion (2018)

 

Field Limit: The field will be comprised of the first 60 men, 48 senior men, 18 women and 30 senior women to submit an entry application and meet the eligibility requirements. Since all championships are conducted concurrently, the WSGA reserves the right to modify the field limits to achieve a full field of 156 players.

Age: Men's and Women's Championship: No age requirements; Senior Men's Championship: Players must be 55 years of age or older by April 23, 2019; Senior Women's Championship: Players must be 50 years of age or older by April 23, 2019. 

 

Format: 36-hole Individual Stroke Play Competition (gross only). Men’s, Women’s, Senior Men's, and Senior Women's Championships are run concurrently. In the event of a tie, the winner will be decided immediately by a hole-by-hole playoff. 

 

Tee Times: 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. & 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. off the #1 and #10 tees each day 
 

Handicap Limit: Entrants must have an active GHIN number and USGA Handicap Index issued by a WSGA member club. No handicap limit.

 

Entry Fee: $135
 

Cart Fee: $35 per rider. Includes both rounds and must be paid during registration. Spectator carts are not permitted.


Entry Deadline: April 2, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. (PDT)

 

Entry Includes: Two rounds of championship play, one hosted practice round, warm up range balls, tee prize, lunch following final round, Kusak crystal for top finishers and a merchandise payout ($6,000 based on a full field). 

WSGA Performance Points:

  • Men’s: Awarded to Champion (50 pts.), Runner-up (25 pts.), Top-5 (10 pts) and Top-10 (5 pts.) finishers
     
  • Women’s: Awarded to Champion (25 pts.), Runner-up (10 pts.) and Top-5 (5 pts.) finishers
    **Points may be adjusted based on field size
     
  • Senior Men's: Awarded to Champion (30 pts.), Runner-up (15 pts.) and Top-5 (5 pts.) finishers
     
  • Senior Women's: Awarded to Champion (15 pts.), Runner-up (10 pts.) and Top-5 (5 pts.) finishers

 

Exemptions:

  • Champions earn an exemption into the 2020 WSGA Champion of Champions at The Home Course in DuPont, Wash.
