Contestants are encouraged to make lodging arrangements at the earliest possible date. The WSGA has arranged for reserved rooms at reduced rates at the below hotel.

REGISTRATION
All contestants must register in person with the WSGA inside the clubhouse prior to teeing off.
The following registration period has been scheduled inside the clubhouse:
- Friday, April 5: 8:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
STARTING TIME AND PAIRINGS
- Friday, April 5: 10:00 a.m. Shotgun Start – Please be at your hole and ready to start on the air horn blast promptly at 10:00 a.m.
PREFERRED PAIRING REQUESTS WILL BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION IF NOTED ON THE ENTRY REGISTRATION. REQUESTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER PAIRINGS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
We encourage you to check your email on the morning of Friday, April 5. All weather delays will be passed along to players via email as soon as they are available.
FORMAT
18-hole gross and net 2-Person Stableford Best-Ball competition. There is a Men’s and Women’s Division with flights in each. Flights will be determined by team course handicap (men receive 90%, women receive 95% of their course handicap for net scoring).

COURSE YARDAGE
Course yardage is subject to change based on weather/course conditions but this is a good guide for those that wish to play practice rounds from a similar yardage.
Men will play from the White WSGA tees markers at 6,231 yards
Women will play from the Gold WSGA tee markers at 5,284 yards
PRACTICE ROUND
Contestants may schedule a practice round on Thursday prior to the event or an additional round on Saturday after the event, by contacting the Wine Valley golf shop at (509) 525-4653. A special reduced rate of $60 which includes tax, cart, and range balls is being offered to participants on both Thursday and Saturday. Play on Saturday will be an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start.
DRESS CODE
Men: The WSGA expects all contestants and their caddies to wear suitable attire on the host club property throughout the duration of the event. Suitable attire does not include cutoffs, tank tops, jeans or denim of any kind or color, tee shirts, sweat pants or unkempt clothing of any kind. Failure to adhere to the dress code may result in disqualification and removal from the course.
Women: The WSGA expects all contestants and their caddies to wear suitable attire on the host club property throughout the duration of the tournament. Suitable attire does not include cutoffs, short shorts, tank tops, halters, jeans or denim of any kind or color, tee shirts, bare midriff, spandex, sweat pants or unkempt clothing of any kind. Failure to adhere to the dress code may result in disqualification and removal from the course.
CARTS
The use of automotive carts during all Winter Series Tournaments is permitted. Power carts can be reserved during registration for $35.00 per team. If you would like a cart but did not reserve one during registration, contact the WSGA.
GOLF BALLS
Only brands of golf balls on the USGA's latest list of conforming balls may be used. The "One Ball" Rule will not be in effect.
CADDIES
Host club caddies will not be available. A player may provide his/her own caddie.
WARM-UP RANGE BALLS
Complimentary range balls will be provided to participants on the driving range, prior to the round starting at 8:30 a.m.
FOOD SERVICE (NO-HOST)
The Wine Valley Cafe will be open for breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages beginning at 7:30 a.m. Lunch specials will be offered after the round.
AWARDS CEREMONY
An awards presentation will take place after the round inside the clubhouse. The awards presentation will be held immediately following play as soon as the results have been calculated. All gift certificates will be awarded at this time.
PRIZES
Merchandise certificates will be awarded to high finishing teams within each flight both gross and net. NOTE: All merchandise certificates must be redeemed at Wine Valley Golf Club.
NOTE REGARDING TIES: Merchandise certificates and Winter Series Challenge points will be split for all ties.
HANDICAPS
The WSGA updated contestants’ handicap indexes as of the April 1, 2019 GHIN Handicap Revision and will convert them in accordance with the slope rating used for the event.
SCORE POSTING TO GHIN
The WSGA will post scores to GHIN as a “T” score for everyone who puts a score down for each hole. Because this is a best-ball tournament, if you pick up on any holes, you will be required to post your own ESC “T” score to GHIN.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Unacceptable conduct or behavior on the golf course or anywhere on club property will not be tolerated and may be grounds for penalty or immediate disqualification, at any time, from any WSGA event. The following are examples of unacceptable conduct or behavior:
- Loud, abusive and/or profane language
- Intentionally throwing and/or breaking equipment or the like (club, ball, etc.) in anger or frustration
- Intentionally damaging host club, WSGA, and/or fellow participant property
- Abuse of any kind of host club officials, volunteers or staff; and/or WSGA volunteers, staff or fellow participants
- Public criticism of host club, officials, volunteers or staff; and/or WSGA volunteers, staff or fellow participants
- Intentionally engaging in a criminal act
- Engaging in activities that result in the potential endangerment of others
- Intentionally violating the Rules of Golf
- Intentionally violating stated club policy
- Violation of WSGA Dress Code
- Violation of WSGA Footwear Policy
*The Committee in charge of the competition shall be the sole judge of determining Conduct Code violations.
